What's a download?

But seriously...

www.methlabs.org...

Download Peer Guardian. It blocks IP search connections.

Not that I know anything about it. Someone from...err...Canada told me! Ya, Canada that's the ticket.

Not that I download music or anything but if I did I would use Limewire which I wouldn't have encountered any problems on.

I would second that opinion if it was in fact an opinion or if there was a first by which I could second the first if the first did exist at all.

What!?!:shk:

Thanks. I've also heard good things about BitTorrent. Anyone try it?

Bit torrent is good (*cough* so i'm told) but if you want some music for free and legitimately you can get some choones from Amazon, they have some free MP3's you can download - full tracks mixed bunch (nothing underground if thats what you want..

Also, try going to some music threads and see if you can find where people have DJ'd and made a mix of the type of music you like and put it online.. not sure of the legality of it but I had been mixing music and some friend of mine do and they get put on the net also.. can't be any different legally than making a Demo CD of music and sending it off...

Over the years music downloading has gone through it's stages.

First there was napster, then Morpheus (you remember that one?!), then it went through quite a 'dry' stage which the likes of iMesh, KaZaA (ew), WinMX, but now Limewire does it for people (so i'm told). Edonkey's good for whole albums (so i'm told), and you can use it as a cliet for torrents aswel. (so i'm told).

A 'friend of mine' has made up his mind and downloaded Limewire. 'He' is also using PeerGuardian. And 'he' is happy with the selection and quality of 'his' new music. Rage on.

Get Limewire, then d/l Limewire pro, so you get turbo charge d/l speeds for free. Neat little trick.

Does it actually increase the DL speed though?

Doesnt' the limewire pro upgrade cost money?

If you use these clients, I would highly recomend getting an IP Blocker. I hear PeerGuardian gets it done.
