I have a theory about Hispanic Americans and Illegal Hispanics living with in the USA, It's simple enough really allow me to lay it out .

The Left has been pushing for Amnesty for years , Now The Left being Progressive in true fashion they are looking to legalize millions of undocumented Hispanic immigrants in doing so they would secure millions of new " progressive " voters in the form of newly legalized Hispanics and Hispanics already endowed with prior legal citizenship. Or atleast this is there hope , and in the short term they may well get an increase in Hispanic voters.

BUT..My theory is this I believe this plan will blow up in spectacular fashion in the face of the left .

If you take a look at Hispanics living with in the USA who have proper Legal Citizenship they display some interesting characteristics .

1. Very hard working , Often hispanics own private buisnesses family owned for generations. i.e. they are very Capitalistic in nature.
2. Very family oriented , keeping close ties to there culture . i.e. They are Conservative both culturally and with there family.
3. Hispanics are very Religious Strict observant Catholics . i.e They are Very Religiously Conservative.

Now call me crazy but if the Left is successful in there venture for Amnesty I do believe with in 10 years or so the Right will have millions of new Hispanic voters.

I would love here the ATS opinon on this.

Legals hate illegals. Why should one have to jump through a series of hoops when another gets a pass on all hoops. It's infuriating. Nobody who followed the rules would agree to this nonsense.

I am a legal immigrant. I am mostly conservative in nature and you will find that a huge block of Hispanic voters will be voting for Donald Trump this year.

No one who is legal likes having their wages depressed by slave labor.

Agreed and that block will be increased when the now Illegals are made Legal via amnesty , at least that is my theory.

Wasn't Trump going to do a big DACA thing a couple of weeks ago?

Whatever happened with that? Just interview noise?

I agree. A lot of Hispanics are conservative, religious and otherwise. Conservatives by default vote against their own best interest.

So I can see a lot of them voting for the GOP. Especially with the communism scare tactics the GOP uses in ad campaigns in their communities. A lot of them come from third world hell holes ran by communist dictators that have been destroyed by American foreign policy.

I love the gaslighting attempt. The riots in the streets, harassment, and cancel culture are just GOP scare tactics lol.

You are really on to something and I can verify your observations as I live in a part of Texas that is at least 80% Hispanic.

What the Progressive Marxists dont get about Hispanics is that they are truly diverse, in their origins, their backgrounds, their cultures and their thinking. They are not monolithic.

It will be very interesting to see what happens going forward.

TonyS - quite True!

Not even all Mexicans speak Spanish. (I've met some that still speak pre-columbian native languages.)

Nor are all "Mexicans" from Mexico. I think I've met more from Honduras, El Salvadore, and Guatemala.

But Marxism is strong down there. Power to the worker!!!! (Except it ....never quite works out that way.......)

The ones that come up illegally are mostly too under educated to even know an education is valuable. They honestly think they are improving America by filling low wage jobs and working hard at them, and Americans should appreciate them for it. You have no idea how many times I've overheard immigrant workers talking spanish and saying exactly that, almost word for word. (..... or well.... not "word for word" since they were talking in Spanish.)

I do admire their professionalism. But at the same time they have so dam many kids. And you know one wage isn't going to cover all those diapers or educations.

Welfare recipients, even partial ones, are the steadiest voters there are.
