Chicago Violence - Rapper FBG Duck Killed

They didn’t kill him because he was black they killed him because he was a gangster.

It took me several minutes to get over chuckling at this dudes name.

The only time i've heard duck used as a name was that commercial where the kid couldn't pronounce the dogs name, so just called him Duck.

I have nothing on topic to say. Just wanted to make fun of that guys stupid name, which he chose for some reason.

You're not alone. That might have something to do with the fact that blacks are randomly stopped far more than whites are.

More than just that...how many cops do you see in your neighborhood on a daily? I RARELY see cops.

If i wanted to get drunk and stumble up and down my street, no one would ever know other than my neighbors. All sorts of things can be gotten up to in richer neighborhoods. When i was younger, we'd party in more affluant neighborhoods because the cops would never show up to break up anything without someone calling to report it.

His latest diss track "Dead B*tches" disrespected a whole graveyard of his rivals. My money is on King Von having something to do with this.

Yeah, I am sure it was someone from / affiliated with O Block. It is unfortunate they can't keep beefs on wax but the blood lost runs back decades at this point, so it is more than just making music. It is really sad as it seemed like Duck made an effort to try to move on, but I think the fans and streets wouldn't let him.

Being a Chicago drill rapper has to be the most dangerous job in the world at this point.

I am more shocked that he got clapped on Oak Street. I don't think people understand how brazen that is... my guess is they will find the killers pretty quickly. If gang members want to kill themselves in their own hood, most folks will just ignore it. However, when you start doing drive bys on the most upscale street in Chicago right in the middle of tourist and old folks, the police are not going to let that go. It is obvious it was an organized hit and figured they catch him lacking outside of his hood.

The FBG stands for Fly Boy Gang. Not sure of the story behind the "Duck" but sure there is some logic too it somewhere.

Blacks in certain communities are more violent. This is a statistical fact. You cannot dispute this. In light of the facts, it makes sense as to why there is such a high presence of police in certain areas and the residents treated more aggressively.

It is cultural. There is this underclass cultural of dysfunction that breeds violence. Anyone that has spent time in the hood knows this is the case. These kids are literally dying over crappy neighborhoods they don't even own.

Trying to dismiss the fact more whites get killed by cops based on racial density is not a good method because it does not take into account people that never had interactions with cop. A more accurate dataset is looking at the suspects who have interacted with cops then breaking it up via race. I wasnt aware of such data but you appear to have come accross it from your statement?

Might be time for the left to start #whitelivesmatter?

I'm not sure your point.... Black culture is about 99% black people, and much of that culture today sucks and drives a lot of their problems. I been in every war and contingency the US has been in since the early 1980s, so I'm good on the evil people part.

When you look at who is killed more you can not compare total populations unless cops are indiscriminately just offing people for no reason at all. What you need to compare is crime related cop killings and cops kill about 1000 total per year and 250 are black. If blacks were actually equal in crime percentages then that number should be about 130, but we all know that there is typically more crime in black communities and so more get shot. Its not rocket science here.

We also know that 13% of the population commits over 50% of murders continuously for the last 30+ years and I'm sure that results in cop shootings too.

About 95% of the 1000 killed were done during a crime and were armed, and most of the remaining 5% were not armed but committing a crime, so a grey area as we do not know the full circumstances. Out of that 50 40 are white and 10 are black...
