Type in a random number, say 568 (any number will work) and do a google search for 568 new cases... You will see a google headline with the number you typed as new cases !! Hummmm

Are the stories fake?

The HOAX that's piggy-backing off of Covid-19 is WIDE and DEEP. You wouldn't believe the entities who are involved, and what they're doing.

Type in your address.

Number and street.
town then zipcode.

My name popped up along with a phone number and what i purchased my property for and when... it was all correct.

Even gave me every other house on my street with names, numbers and price the property was bought for too.

Edit: i did this on Google.

My county has a GIS map. I can find that information about every lot in the county.

It's called public records. Used to be that you had to go downtown to access it. I used it to have the tax assessor lower my assessment over two years. Got a refund of about $1,100. Took 7 years, but I got it.

Are you in the "phone book?"

No private, not in what you or I would call the yellow pages. I have to make that request to not post yearly.

Edit:
I was a county employee and i like privacy... it was preferred for me. Yet the phone rings 24/7 with someone wanting my opinion.

In that case I would attempt to find out from whence the information came.

My number is not available, but if I pay a fee they tell me that they might be able to provide it. I don't care enough to find out if they can.

My neighbor is in law enforcement. He fears his safety as there has been one incident in the 4 years he's lived here. Thankfully the guy that pulled up at our estates was super high on heroin and had a BB Gun.

When i checked, my leo neighbor's name and address was on the list as well as his phone number. I know property purchases are public domain, there needs to be a cutoff.
These number algorithms are getting more and more infringing. Annnd somewhat entertaining.

I guess ease of access can be problematic. As well as beneficial. In any case, if someone wants to find you and you're a "person" so to speak, they could do that 30 years ago.

Any technology to which that does not apply?

The sex offender thing comes to mind, for example. But that's a whole other ball of wax.

The real interesting thing here is that a few minutes ago I was looking into network cables, like cat 5e, because I had the connections wrong, so I did a google to see the connection, can you guess the type of cable?

yes, 568B the number that you asked to google, then just before my bet time, as usual, I load up ATS and open your thread and I see 568.

wtf is that? Coincidence? The funny thing is, this happens all the time...
