Did any of the BLM "leaders" have any condemnation to go along with their outrage that the victim of this extortion tactic made public how he was being extorted? Were they reassuring the community that anyone else who might have been extorted would be supported by BLM in refusing the demands?

Actions speak louder than words...but sometimes your words speak pretty loud on their own...or lack of them in this case.

I really don’t know if blacklivesmatter.org or blacklivesmatter.com is contacting individual groups or fringe groups that may be over stepping.

Do you?

Are you privy to that information?

Well you'd think something that makes them look so bad publicly would prompt them to publicly separate themselves from it. Unless of course they suppprt this kind of tactic. They had no problem publicly denoucing the victim making their extortion tactics public...why nothing about the people who did it? If the people who did this aren't representative of the whole why doesn't the whole denounce it?

Probably the same as those who denounce police for doing their job but make excuses for the protesters who allow rioting to carry on in their protests.

I've just had a bit of a search and I was only able to find 1 activist who isn't even directly a BLM activist who spoke out aginst it.

A member of the Revolutionary Black Panther Party of Kentucky spoke in support of the Cuban American business owners that were concerned about their ability to do business under threat of intimidation. Ahamara Brewster called the tactics of BLM activists "terroristic."

She said "That was another thing that was upsetting: You're attacking a Black/brown establishment, but you’re in the name of Black Lives Matter. Something’s weird about this."

Reading that even...do you think they'd be saying the same of a business with a white owner? Sure doesn't look like it...

Every other activist quoted in any articles I found denoucned the owner for publicly shaming them...and that their counter protest was "childish" and that they should have negotiated with BLM. Also that it wasn't meant as demands but to "start a conversation" which is about as believable as Epstein hanging himself.

By all means. Let’s have a public shaming.

So productive.

Who will it make feel better? You?

How about we condemn it and rally around the victims and support them ...because that is who needs the support. What would you suggest doing...just drop it and forget about it?

When the real Mafia gets enough of these newcomers moving in on their act, this will end quickly. Not in a good way for BLM.

Well, I would get to know what they are all about:

Black Lives Matter honored Fidel Castro as their “inspiration,” and feel “indebted to him” for “his guidance,” and “integrity.”

Lessons from Fidel: Black Lives Matter -Black Lives Matter Global Network

With Fidel’s passing there is one more lesson that stands paramount: when we are rooted in collective vision when we bind ourselves together around quests for infinite freedom of the body and the soul, we will be victorious. As Fidel ascends to the realm of the ancestors, we summon his guidance, strength, and power as we recommit ourselves to the struggle for universal freedom. Fidel Vive!

I’m actually not particularly left.

I am a logical realist. And I am capable of understanding different perspectives.

Rebellions are messy. They also tend to expand into all of the following: civil unrest/disobedience, genuine protesting, advantage looting, infiltration, rioting, etc.

The smoldering “volcano” of racial inequality just needed a trigger and it got one.

The pendulum swings.

IMO this rebellion was deserved and needed. The extreme will settle. Hopefully, evolved changes will be permanent.

I am quoting this because I never would have pegged you for this, extortion, rioting, destruction of private buisnesses and you think the hundreds of millions of dollars worth of damage to largely private buisnesses was needed, assaulting people that never did any crime was needed, theft of goods that will only hurt innocent people was deserved.

I am supremly disapointed...

On topic, I have to say if I was still a betting man I would put all my money on the Cuban population versus BLM.

People that understand what a true danger marxist policies are will never break before those weak willed individuals, and those sheep hitting the streets for blm are weak.

The civil rights movement saw true abuse of power when they started their struggle, they saw true excessive force these nitwits have politicians trying to handcuff the cops who just want to do their job.

That’s straight up racketeering. Is BLM looking for RICO charges? I thought I saw another poster on here recently relating some of their shtick to RICO qualifications.

Sure seems like it, straight up extortion, conspiracy to commit.

First...I didn't say a thing about right or left...or progressive or conservative. Things like this transcend that...this is good and bad...right and wrong. Pretty simple...the rest of your post is a bunch of excuses and BS to defend a pretty indefensible position.

I'd say outing you as a disgusting individual was worth it to have this chat...but I doubt you have any shame in being a disgusting person defending the attackers and ignoring the victim. Dont you lefties say the victim must be believed...or is that obly for rapes?

I find your interpretation of my post very odd.

BS would be having an emotional response.

As you did.

Yes you probably would...considering your "logic" brought us the jumbo of words you directed at me previously. Words that had nothing to do with what we were discussing...until you wound down to the end where you made excuses for criminal acts which have endangered a large population of citizens as well as been responsible for more deaths now than I think the protested police have caused.

So no I'm not surprised you don't understand my reply.

So will cubans agree it’s not a race war to them it’s an idea war. If a white guy says the same thing could we take them at their word it’s not a race thing but an idea thing? Or do they need to have “dreamer” status as their victimhood check mark? Can we accept BLM just uses race as a tool?

Or oppression for that matter.
