I live in a rural area.

We have been voting by mail for at least a decade

Doesn't seem to be an issue

Ballots are mailed to you. You have to complete the official ballot and either mail it back or drop it off at a legal polling station.

If you make a mistake on the ballot you can request a new one, but I understand it takes a long time.

I don't really believe that voting in person during a pandemic is a wise choice when you can vote by mail

President Donald Trump correctly stated last week that universal mail-in voting, instead of in-person voting, would be a disaster. If just one state has not settled a primary election, 40 days after election day, it could take months to settle a national election, with 50 states manually counting +150 million votes, one vote at a time.

Nevertheless, Speaker of the U.S. House, Nancy Pelosi (D-California), is still demanding that this November's Presidential election, and down-ballot elections across the country, be Vote-by-mail eligible. Here is what she said this morning...

There is no actual concern for voter fraud. Just another wild goose chase.

In the corporate world, when you are attempting to take over another corporation (second term), and you don't particularly like the deal on the table or the person presenting it (deal=a loss to anybody, doesn't matter who), you can use certain tactics to "grease the wheels". One such tactic is quite simple, disinformation (or lies to be blunt). Use outside sources or even direct from the top (witch doctors, conspiracy theories, whatever sounds clever or came from ATS and carewemust) slander or falsehoods than can be potentially damning for the corporation being taken over. The stock drops (confidence in our voting system, mistrust of government) and conditions become much more favorable for a takeover at rock bottom prices, which of course is his second term

But beware of plan B. If he looses, he takes his information he has gathered or been given, and heads to Russia. Hands over the works (launch codes, troop movements, weapons and research development, passwords to top secret servers) and cuts a deal for his family. America and all of its "drained swamp politicians" are left holding the bag, twisting in the wind.

Trump looks out for number 1. Always has, stated in just about every interview. Who do you think is number 1? You think his pocketbook has been forgotten?

I am also noticing something. carewemust, our generous OP, has posted 61 different threads since may of this year or about 2 months ago. Every post is politically charged and 100% in support of Trump. I did not say Republicans. I am also noticing a correlation between some of his posts and tweets from our President. Curious. Interesting timing on some of these ... I don't like liers......

And you have made sure to post the same or similar style of threads over multiple forums (7 to be exact). Kinda like you are fishing for maximum exposure by appealing (hopefully) to a broader range of people who don't visit the "mud pit"? Huh.....

The issue isn't votes being added, the issue is votes go missing. Imagine finding out that your vote was lost and your voice unheard?

Actually around since March with only 1 thread dealing with anything other than politics. His very first post, kinda a soft entering, was about Kenny Rodgers. And then down the rabbit hole, with roughly a post every 1.15 days on average. That is a lot of threads to keep active and follow up in in a short period of time. REALLY starting to think we have a Russian infiltrator in our midst, a rat so to speak. Sowing seeds of dissent, only posting inflammatory threads and information, with nothing of real value towards an intelligent conversation. Got me a real mystery on our hands! Who do you work for, carewemust, and just how many more of you are here on ATS?

so florida has had mail in voting for about 20 years...and the republicans have liked it and benefited from it...let me be clear they did not cheat, they got more republicans into office more republicans voted when it went to mail in voting.

trump had his own task force to look into voting cheating...he found VERY LITTLE and disbanded his task force

Hmm, not sure sure about that: Ballot Harvesting In Oregon

Ballot harvesting is when campaigns determine exactly which voters have already turned in their ballots, and then they come after those who have not. Lots of phone calls, lots of door knocks, lots of robocalls. If you purposely wait to vote until the last day (savvy voters have realized that many major scandals haven’t surfaced until the final days of a campaign), the efforts border on outright harassment.

If even a small part of what is in that article is true, Oregon's system is just as broken and corrupted as everywhere else.

It's simple math - you can spend 1 billion to run an election or 1 billion to buy one.

You need an extra 4 million votes? How many people would be willing to sell there vote for 250 ?

Since voting is a fundamental right, it should also be a fundamental responsibility - show up with your real id, punch the holes and be counted.

Sit at home on your fat ass crying all day without your official vote receipt and we should all get to throw tomatoes at you.

I don't see the big deal, just move Tax day to the same as election day. You file your taxes, you cast your vote. You don't file taxes...you don't vote. If you file your taxes as a non-resident, you can't vote.

Not that voting means anything, everyone is so brainwashed they will vote for either Donald Biden or Joe Trump, doesn't matter which one wins, there all part of the machine.

He told them to quit "sensationalizing", and fix whatever they think in broken with the United States Postal Service.

New Nevada law..NO POSTMARK REQUIRED on mailed-in ballots!

In Nevada, the Republican National Committee filed a lawsuit against a law the state legislature passed last week changing certain provisions to make it easier to vote by mail in the November election.

One of the provisions is that if an absentee ballot is received by 5 p.m. three days after Election Day but is not postmarked, it will be counted.

The lawsuit claims this provision, along with others in the new legislation, is unconstitutional.
