Improvised Face Mask

This is my contribution to the pandemic emergency. I hope it helps.

When I mentioned to an artist friend that I'd thought of making a mask out of a bra she said, "Yes! Do it!", then rushed off and came back with an old bra. I couldn't back out without losing face as an artist. Fortunately the bra she offered is slightly padded with a mottled print, the finished item looks like an asymmetric, fashion-conscious handmade mask. If you don't look too closely.

Making the mask is simple. Just cut off the back and shoulder straps, separate the cups, then sew the back straps onto one cup. It may take a little time to get the straps the right length and in the right position for the mask to fit comfortably. I used the right cup because I feel like a right t*t wearing a mask to go shopping.

I've tested the bra mask in a busy supermarket. Nobody reacted to it.

If you want to be noticed ask AugustusMasonicus if he can spare something from his extensive collection of exotic lingerie.

You're trying too hard.
Wrap a bandana or old scrap of cloth around your face and you've got a mask.

Jock-strap down over nose and mouth, goggles on is the way to go. This is getting bad, one of my fish died from the covid.

I really don't get this whole "improvised mask" thing. Half the households in the country have got to have some kind of mask or filter sitting around in their garage. A basic 3M respirator that you use when painting your house or auto would do.

Meh # masks, I like to get up real close to the plexiglass barriers they have now at every store, breathe on it, then draw a heart in the condensation and droplets I create.

Helpful hint:
Placing a Panty Shield or Sanitary Napkin inside the Panty Mask increases effectiveness by over 300%.

Any mask that keeps you from sneezing on people is good for protecting others. Wear them when around humans, for the rest of your life. Human droplets are full of germs and viruses.
