Nope.
There is an art to making Kool-Aid.
1) Fill the pitcher about halfway with warm water
2) Add the packet and sugar.
3) Wait for a few minutes .
4) Start stirring
5) While stirring , fill pitcher to about 3/4 (maybe less) with cold water.
6) Put enough ice in the pitcher to finish filling pitcher
Enjoy.
For some reason , that tastes better .
I use the above method with iced tea as well .
I don't know if that is a "racial" based thing or not as the OP implied .
However , it is a well known old Southern way and may well be.
