...The Washington Football Team.

Really, this is not an article from the Babylon Bee or The Onion.

For the 2020-2021 season, the team's official name will be "The Washington Football Team."


Really guys, there wasn't anything that struck you as a halfway-decent moniker? Nothing?

Instead, they went with a name that plainly admits they just threw up their hands and said "Ah, f*ck it!"

Really though I was hoping for something more provocotive, something that could take a stand against these name changes. I thought that maybe the Washington Whiteskins could have done that. Boy, what a hoot and holler that would have caused.

The Redskins were forced to get rid of the name when the thin skinned ruiners of family photos circled their wagons against them. I expected ridiculousness when it was announced that the owners of an NFL team was in a pow wow with his head coach to determine a team name. I mean, seriously, it should be entirely up to the owner and requires zero input from the coach... who the hell is the chief here? So, instead of being brave and sticking to his principles, the owner buckles. In my opinion, Snyder went totally off the reservation here and has only himself to blame. He permitted his decision to be dictated by the uncivilized savages who were calling for changes they had no right to demand. Instead he handed a big feather to the cancel culture's headdress when, in reality, they should have been told "no," scalped, and left dying in the sun where they belong.

In other words... screw the NFL. It deserves to die out now.
