I don't think I ever pretended to be an expert in these matters. I've been fairly consistent, I've referred to the actual experts in these matters. Your comment there seems rather projectionist because throughout this forum, you and others here have continiously proclaimed your own views and knowledge of HCQ as authority, against the overwhelming evidence from various medical bodies and experts out there.

Hows about we switch that question around. Why are you fighting so hard to prove HCQ as effective contrary to the body of evidence out there?

Nobody on here. I've got the studies and medical experts on my side.

My goal here is not to convince anybody. I've been on ATS for 10+ years my friend. That ship had sailed a long time ago. I am here to talk to people like you, to get down to your real concerns and issues. With each post, I get drips of the deep truth. At some point, you break character. It's a side passion of mine... blood sports if you call it. Status? It's meaningless on here to me. If I wanted that I could go post about how Trump has an IQ of 156 and I'd get instant approval just like that. It's that easy. It's worthless. Unfortunately, some long-termers here have hinged much of their real lives on their status on here. It's really sad, and I wonder where those people will end up once it's all taken away.

Hydroxychloroquine has been around for 50+years people take it every day therapeutically for years

There's no doubt that HCQ has been a magnificant drug, treatment against other ailements. That's not what's in dispute here so no need to bring this up for the nth time.

I'll keep it simple for you here. Penicillin was a game changer and can be credited for saving millions of lifes over it's existence. Does that make it a viable treatment against, say, Malaria or Cancer? No. There's your answer.

Look at all the studies you listed . The WHO says , The WHO says , The WHO says , Dr.Fauci says , Dr Fauci says. Guy there lying ? how can you not see that ? They do not want us to treat this virus with something they cant control and make money off of

See what I said above about drips of the inner personal beliefs that I seek on here? Your post right there is an example of it. That's why I'm here. You slip, and you eventually give me what I want. There's also the projection. All these, part of the drips of inner truths and bias that you guys provide on here.

At the end of the day, this isn't really about HCQ. You're not here with a real care about treating others. You're here to defend your political tribal values. That's the core of the matter here, and I'm proven correct time and time again.

I would have to agree. The thing I can't seem to get my head around is why? I cannot fathom any reason to want people to die indiscriminately, but that is essentially what an argument against thorough testing of all possibilities entails.
We have several possibilities right now, with the two most well-known being the Triple treatment and Remdesivir, but it is quite possible that in the end only one potential treatment will show efficacy. There is also the possibility that none will pan out. It would be a crime against humanity for anyone to assist with not following up on a possibility that turned out to be the only workable one, ensuring that no efficacious treatment is found.

I am hoping that the Russian vaccine first of all works and secondly has given the Gates vaccination plans a swift kick to the nads but time will tell.

I heard about the Russian vaccine. I, too, am hoping it will prove effective.

I heard someone earlier on the news (it was in the background so I didn't catch who said it) claim that Russia shortcutted some steps to get their vaccine produced faster. I don't know if that is true or not. I suppose time will tell, assuming someone doesn't decide to declare it useless without a proper trial as well. I can see that happening; I believe some of the push against the triple treatment is coming from Gilead itself (patent holder on Remdesivir) and this Russian vaccine would be as dangerous to them as the triple treatment.

As for it being freely available with a prescription... NYS Prohibition Order Against Possible Life Saving Medicine

Although the use of hydroxychloroquine has according to many doctors and recovered patients been life saving, Governor Cuomo issued an Executive Order prohibiting the off label use of the drug for COVID-19 patients.

There are other states which have considered banning it as well for off-label use.

As for your doctor, if that's what he says, well eh, do what you feel. Your doctor is not a drone. He has his own views opinions, and I trust his willing to put even his medical license on the line for that.
