Fauci says Corona virus could be like 1918 spanish flu

I can;t find the clip yet, (update found the clip, don;t worry you dont have to watch the whole thing just the first 5 minutes.) but I saw it on CNN maybe an hour or so ago. Where Anthony Fauci says that the corona virus has the potential to be as serious as the 1918 spanish flu. (question with that, so is corona virus not that serious currently?)

US top infectious disease specialist, Anthony Fauci, on Tuesday said that coronavirus a pandemic of "historic proportions" has the potential to be as serious as the 1918 Spanish Flu in which over 50 million people globally died.
"I think we can't deny that fact," CNN quoted Fauci as saying during a Georgetown University Global Health Initiative webinar. "If you look at the magnitude of the 1918 pandemic where anywhere from 50 to 75 to 100 million people globally died, that was the mother of all pandemics and truly historic. I hope we don't even approach that with this, but it does have the makings of, the possibility of ... approaching that in seriousness."

I had thought that during a pandemic one of the things you didnt want to do was make people panic. Thats just my thinking anyways, I am not an infectious disease virulogist.

I mean with what is known about the spanish flu doesn;t corona virus have its work cut out for it? I mean we are at 140,000 deaths ( sorry numbers are probably off.) currently, the spanish flu 1918 killed 675,000 Americans. It killed 17 million world wide.



What do people think is corona virus going to be as bad as the 1918 spanish flu, who some have speculated was the deadlist pandemic ever??

It seems corona virus is the exact opposite of the spanish flu, as its acting like a flu and going after the elderly and immune compromised.

Man what a tool it's nothing like the Spanish Flu, which hit all age groups and healthy people too. Not to mention people would be fine and a day later they would be dead.

What do they plan to do to mitigate the disease if it does become as bad as the 1918 flu? Nuke entire cities?

Fauci's mental state has been deteriorating for some time. He said 2 months ago that people will never be able to shake hands again. He's becoming more Joe Biden-like, if you get my drift.

The Spanish flu killed healthy people as well as the immunocompromised. This is nothing like that. Healthy people get over this thing and go back to their lives. Anybody still falling for everything Fauci says is about as gullible as they get. I'm pretty sure his credibility has already come into question.

Watch this whole Covid thing disappear from the media cycle and politicians mouths after the election, if it even makes it that long. Also, how many times have we seen stories or videos posted by doctors trying to tell the public that if someone tested positive for the virus, it was the absolute cause of death, even if they were hit by a bus or shot in the head?

President Trump referred to a 1918 Spanish Flu a lot during the White House CoronaVirus briefings....showing how Covid-19 wasn't nearly as bad.

Maybe Fauci is trying to scare America. He might think we're all stupid, like Obama's Health Experts thought.

There's a lot going on in the U.S. Government's Covid-19 action/reporting areas tonight.

The Trump Admin is removing the CDC as the Covid-19 report-to entity. Medical and State officials will now be reporting directly to CDC's "boss", which is Health and Human Services.

CDC is controlled in large part by former AAG Rod Rosenstein's sister. (Rod hired Mueller to frame Trump)

The CDC is changing sections of its website that show how MILD the Covid-19 virus is, in most of America.

Fauci was not at the White House Corona Virus task force meeting today.

Probably much more going on that we're not aware of.

YES... and the World Health Organization (run by Fauci's buddy Tedros) said today, it has not, and will not, investigate the laboratory in Wuhan, China.
