Flynn could be the 120 day temp Director before the long term Director is nominated and confirmed.

Flynn would get serious heat from Dems during confirmation but he seems more than capable to handle it if he were to be the nominee.

FBI needs a deep cleaning. That won’t happen with just a new Director. The top layers of the Bureau leadership and attorneys may need to be replaced. A new Director better have a half dozen trusted attorneys and half dozen top leadership candidates at the ready.

One-sies and Two-sies is a failed strategy.

If nothing comes of the Flynn chatter, getting the Left spun up is still beneficial.
