O, The Oprah Magazine is ending its regular monthly print editions with the December 2020 issue after 20 years of publication. The brand, which is among the most recognizable magazines in the U.S., is not going away but will become more “more digitally-centric,” said a Hearst spokeswoman Monday. There will be “some form of print” after the December issue “but what it is exactly is still being worked out.”
Hearst declined to answer why they were dropping the regular print edition, saying only it was a “natural next step” for the brand. Magazines have been trying to grow their digital properties as print advertising shrinks and people spend more time online.

There was a shift a few weeks (months? time flies ...) ago from hospitalizations and deaths to "cases" in the media.
Few noticed the subtlety. Some did.
Words matter.

Honestly it's a thing you really need to see if you have the opportunity. It moves you in a certain way when it's viewed with your own eyes, in situ.

The thermometer hit a likely record of 38 degrees Celsius (100.4 degrees Fahrenheit) in the Russian Arctic town of Verkhoyansk on Saturday, a temperature that would be a fever for a person — but this is Siberia, known for being frozen. The World Meteorological Organization said Tuesday that it’s looking to verify the temperature reading, which would be unprecedented for the region north of the Arctic Circle.

The Maunder Minimum was a very specific event. Saying "a Maunder Minimum has started" is pretty meaningless.
Colder? Not really.

I am not sure how they can make it up. You take for example the Indy500. 250,000 people at an average ticket price of $100. then you figure concessions. NFL maybe 60,000 at $150 times 12 games just gates $
Ticket prices are a small drop in the revenue bucket for NFL teams believe it or not. A huge chunk of change to us, but compared to the billions raked in from TV deals, promotionals, apparel etc its nothing.
TV is the cash cow. That’s what is taking a beating right now. Maybe it’ll improve.

At the rate the NFL is going, football won't even be a major sport pretty soon.
Also, I was just reading that NBA rating were down by half. People are not happy with players disrespecting the national anthem, and it's going to hurt them
My visits last week to Texas and Frorida had massive numbers of cheering people gathered along the roads and highways, thousands and thousands, even bigger (by far) than the crowds of 2016. Saw no Biden supporters, and yet some in the Fake News said it was an equal number. Sad!
