Its total BS about the only thing I'd agree about is its winter in Australia so maybe a little more stringent but a lock down LOL no way, certainly didn't think the Aussies would bend over again this soon but they are quasi European and pretty much Chinese owned so who knows anymore. They are 142nd worldwide in deaths per million, this is being way overblown 106 deaths total. Just a power play no more no less

I am more of a compromise guy, but I see what you are saying.
Once I get to my middle ground, I will stick there, I won't let them get getting more and more...
I wore masks in Korea and Japan when I was sick, it does stop things from spreading.

Funny thing is, if there were no mandates I would have no problem with it. I also don't believe the narrative, and think we should be focusing on vitamin D intake (ie getting outside, or supplemental if that is not possible), and building our immune systems, so we can fight this thing the natural way. I also don't want a generation of weak immunocompromised humans, who washed there hands and blocked their airways too much.

I used to make fun of my coworker because seh was seriously sick like once a month if not more, every damn month.
She used hand sanitiser every 10 minutes it seemed like and antibacterial soaps at home, and assiduously wiped her desk down with wipes every few hours. This was a constant thing up until the pandemic then she went working from home.
I think all the disinfectant is bad for your immune system.
I on the other hand was always using public restrooms, washing my hands with normal soap and not using any sanitisers or disinfectants and was only sick once in like 5 years, which was this Dec and may have been the 'vid.
So I fear with my increase in using sanitisers now that I have been compromising my s# too.
The upside is I walk more daily outside and lost 10 lbs during lockdown so I think I get plenty of sun.
And I take supplemetns/vitamins. hmmm
its hard to tell 'how' your immune system is.

When that video showing German police forcefully preventing people from leaving a building was posted a couple of weeks ago I ridiculed Germany for thinking it was ok to do that. Little did I know my own government would do the exact same thing. Goes to show we've lost our respect for liberty and the principles Western culture was built on, we're becoming more like communist China and socialist Germany every day, at least the people in Germany had the balls to assert their right to freedom, doubt anyone here will challenge authority.

I don't think many Australians realize just how minuscule our numbers are compared to many places in the world, and I don't think it really matters where you are in the world, the MSM pundits will react with the same level of fear when new cases pop up, the numbers seem big if we only get relative comparisons. Since we have so few cases, a few dozen cases sounds like a really scary thing to some people. Like I said before the plan has shifted from flattening the curve to eliminating the curve altogether, which is absolute insanity being carried out by people who let fear control them and have lost all grasp on reality.

You do understand the Victorian government are playing hardball so the numbers remain low.

Victoria has the highest number of infections and are attempting to contain this virus before it spreads.

I heard today in Melbourne a household that had a party ended up with $26000 in fines, they were caught going to KFC, I hope it was epic party.

I understand they are fearmongering fools, that's what I understand. The only nations experiencing a 2nd wave are those which prevented the spread too effectively, and Australia is a good example. We wouldn't have had this 2nd wave in the first place if we had taken a common sense approach and allowed young people to keep working while telling older people to stay home. We wouldn't have devastated the economy and we'd have a level of herd immunity which would prevent further outbreaks. Instead we now have everyone leaving their houses, older people included, and the virus now has a chance to spread and put those older people at higher risk. Experts constantly told us we were taking the wrong approach but no one wanted to listen to them, instead they were censored.
