Please excuse me if this has been posted already... However I've just gotten back from vacation, no news for a week, glorious...

Of course I couldn't help looking at some news while at work, just a peak to see what I missed.

This whole year is transparent to me, I can see what's coming, and my soul aches a little more when headlines like this come to light.

The first event that triggered this feeling within me, definitely occurred while this phony movement triggered individuals to tear down history... To destroy the things we erected to remind us of past events, past triumphs, past failures... Regardless of WHO it is, we can learn from it all...

The fact that the TPTB have so much control over the minds of the people, in order to get US to do THEIR dirty work... Which is the destruction of our history, if I may be so bold, is sickening and sad.

When will the slope slip down to Books, MUSIC, Movies, TV? Where does it end? Will we start burning paintings in defense of offense?

This is madness and sadness and as a young man of 25, I don't see how the future could be bright. I don't see how my fellow youth could be so blind to the blatant lies and manipulation...

But alas, I can't be upset with any of these people. For they know not what they do. Perhaps it truly is darkest before the light, I do not know.

What I do know however, is that this is the product from decades of planning and sub conscious suggestion.

Now, this headline: Young Americans willing to give up First Amendment rights to avoid offending others

I'll be honest, I couldn't even watch the full video, I don't even know who or what Campus Reform is... But it's pretty clear to me this is the mindset of most of our "educated" youth. Unless I am blind...

How did we go from the revolutions of the 60's, literally fighting for our freedom from the government, to sacrificing our minds and souls to making sure OTHERS are comfortable at individual expense?

Students not only said they would be willing to turn over their social media accounts for inspection, but that they would support sacrificing their free speech rights to make others feel more “comfortable."

Maybe it's because I am a natural introvert who enjoys my own company, but before I got to this point, worrying about OTHERS was Exhausting, Draining, LIFE sucking.

When did others become more important than ourselves?

Social media... The Internet... Likes, Thumbs Up, Mental Manipulation, Dopamine Rush's... Mindless scrolling.

We are raising a generation of zombies who only care about others opinions it seems.

As the cancel culture trend continues to hit college campuses, Campus Reform has reported on a number of cases where colleges and universities have sanctioned professors, and in one case even expelled a student, for posts he made on social media.

As the technology becomes more and more of an extension of our minds, we are giving up our minds to authority such as this. Through Facebook, we have an entire timeline of our life. Our worries, our dreams, whatever is on our mind, seems to be posted to one outlet or another.

How sneaky of TPTB to use this. We have to assume they are aware of this and are using it to their utmost advantage. We are years away from losing the freedom of our minds. We are so close already.

“I definitely think they should be monitoring the hate speech because that shouldn't be allowed."

SUCK IT UP MISSY! If you're getting offended about something SOMEONE ELSE is saying or doing, you either need to look at yourself to see WHY you're offended or just freaking shut your mouth and ignore it.

What happened to minding your own business?

She also added she would encourage a school to inspect her social media accounts “if it has to do with helping the school in...creating a sense of more safety and security and erasing the hate speech.”

Many of you here have seen this coming for a long time, I have had a subtle awareness for years, but I never expected all this to happen so fast.
The amount of change and shady behavior occurring is happening in plain site and apparently has an upgraded engine.

Many were quick to say they would trade their free speech rights for the comfort of others on campus.

“I would do that, cause I mean if I’m just giving up a little of what I care about just to make others feel better, I’d do that,” another person said. “I’d make that exchange.”

I can't imagine ever saying something like this, and actually feeling it to be right and true inside... Whatever happened to intuition? Can't people see where this will go? Can't they?

I never went to college, I didn't want to throw myself into debt for life just because it was the thing you were supposed to do. I went into a trade and am carving my way for a life I want where I don't have to work for anybody else.

Because even at my current workplace, more cameras, more monitoring, more changes.

I honestly don't know how much longer I can stand working like this before I blow a head gasket. I just had to get this out because it literally triggered a scream from me.

The Counter Culture of the 60's saw it coming, and Jim Morrison said it best. Rock Is Dead.

Be safe out there everyone, ship's sinking. Gotta make sure we can hold ourselves up.

I wish I could say I was shocked...but I am not, I have seen it in the military ranted about it recently as well.

Leadership is more concerned about diversity than the suicide rate or the planes falling out of the sky.

Kids getting upset that 2 guys who have been in since before they were born were trash talking each other, not even the airmen.

Its a sad state of affairs, the way we are going we wont have to worry about being attacked we will turn everything over to a dictator who is all talk and no go.

The irony. They have no problem with mob rule and the mob attacking individuals with shaming. And the old social media shout down with character assassination.

Maybe we are becoming a hive mind through being connected to social media none stop?

Absolutely possible. Wait until we get the social credit score implemented, it will be like Black Mirror:Nose Dive for sure.

The episode is set in a world where people can rate each other from one to five stars for every interaction they have, which can impact their socioeconomic status.

Uh, ya think maybe there’s bias in the article you’ve selected?

As a conservative watchdog to the nation’s higher education system, Campus Reform exposes liberal bias and abuse on the nation’s college campuses.”

As I mentioned in the post, I do not know who or what Campus Reform is. However based on observation, I see this mindset being shared among a good chunk of the youth.

I think I began shaking my head a few years ago when "Safe Spaces" became a thing.

I have no bias in politics one way or another, I believe it's all garbage anyways. Crap's out of the hands of the individual, and no matter what rich old stooge takes office for our nation, we will be subjected to more pain and dismantling of our core human nature and rights.

I wonder what universe the maker of that video has been living in.
For reference, here's actually the whole First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances

Did you notice that it says "Congress"... and not "the public"?

Someone not liking what you say is not an abridgment of your rights. Several someones saying they don't like it isn't an abridgment of your rights. In fact, the whole country saying it doesn't infringe your rights.

You only give up your rights when the government makes laws about it.

You are free to stand up and give whatever rant you like in public. If people film it and share it and your company decides it's not what represents their values, this isn't censorship. If the public decides they don't want to support your business after hearing/seeing your rant, that's not censorship -- it's simply their choice. Those are legal actions and there are bazillions of cases (going back to the founding of America) of people let being go from jobs because they didn't enhance company values and businesses going under when their values didn't align with society's values.

The person who made that video isn't very informed about our Constitution or constitutional law.

If there is anything false in the article, please quote what is false. Then provide evidence why. And that is a possibility. But without a credible argument and evidence “ You don’t think the source of what you’re presenting is important,” is just character assassination.

What was that about irony?

Remember, when debating with leftists, they will slip in and out between 1st Amendment and free speech.

1st Amendment is just prohibiting government from censoring.

Free speech is what the left censors constantly.

The Counter Culture of the 60's saw it coming, and Jim Morrison said it best. Rock Is Dead.

Jim Morrison didn't know what he was talking about. Rock isn't Dead! It's better than ever with people and bands coming out every day and thanks to the www, they get a chance to be heard by millions; Unlike the 60s where only a few labels determined what rock you got to listen to.

If you were really a rock aficionado you would know that young Americans haven't given up their 1st amendment rights. Listen to their music.

That right wing rag doesn't know jack sh!t about young Americans.

Disco was a temporary aberration. Those who carried on the true R&B (rock) tradition have become fewer due to the nature of the business. But they are still around.

Morrison wrote great lyrics and he had a great band. There have been others just as great since.

The platform rock and roll was created for and on is no more. Twas the Music Revolution, and although more music is widely available, the platform is over-saturated. Even if there was some group who had some insane sound that could grab your attention, from album to album... What are the chances of finding them?

I have yet to come across a band who could grab me like Pink Floyd, Funkadelic, The Doors, or countless others... We need someone or something new to take the industry by storm, and unfortunately, I don't think the youth of right now has the guts. I am trying my darnedest, and will keep trying, but as of now, I see no groups out there for people to rally behind, like they did in the 60s or 70s. Even the punk scene of the 80's with Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, FEAR, and into the 90's you still had Rage Against The Machine, and System Of a Down, among countless others of course. Point is, people were still fighting and writing about real events and things they believed in.

A band with a real message, a band with guts, with soul.

Rock died as soon as the Music Industry seen how much money it could produce.
"Welcome To The Machine"

I will admit, I may be a little bias about music lol.

Thank you for this... It seems not enough people look into the past to see that these things have been a topic of discussion for generations and generations. I believe I read something on here a little earlier where someone actually said

"The phrase "history repeats itself" is propaganda and defeatist."

Baffling.

Brutal irony... as you sit here complaining about the "Right Wing" and their position on music, history tells us that the push to censor rock music began at the hands of the Democrats, led by Tipper Gore and her husband, Senator Al Gore.

they are NOT ready to give up THEIR free speech, they only want to get rid of those they deem not worthy to be involved in public discourse. They do not do this the right way, by debate and winning on merit, but by insulting ("phobe" ad infinitum) accusations, demeaning posts, threating (going after sponsors, doxxing, public acts of violence, getting people fired for a twitter post ffs, and basically ruining their lives to make themselves feel virtuous, ffs......as if they are totally pure and have never uttered anything insulting or something they wish they could take back......

How many old heads on here would be fired over and over after the # we said after a long happy hour, just f'ing around. Thank God I wasnt young and stupid when this whole social media thing took off.

Look, I know the right is no prize and we have some real peaches that I wish would piss off, as it gives more ammunition for total cancellation, but if any of you are one twitter, you know, conservatives and libertarians are outnumbered by a yuge number.

I agree with you completely...

Its about time to hear from today's generation and find someone against all this mealy mouthed way that kids are being...

You dont have to be a bully but you can speak your mind...
I'm 57 and when I grew up in the 70s it was soo much simpler.
