I also do not want to make others fear if I am not wearing a mask...fear causes all sorts of immune system malfunctions and I do not want others to be fearful because I am not wearing a mask or am too close to them.

Really trying to understand the position now with deaths going down but with more testing, cases rising. At what point is this acknowledged that more cases do not equate to more deaths or even serious symptoms for that matter or none at all....meh.
Why even wear masks or social distance at that point. Might get a little sick, might not and the odds of dying in a car crash are 100X's higher.
What am I missing here because right now this is what is going on. The deaths went from a great height to damn near sea level.

When deaths get too low you re evaluate the past deaths and assign them COVID. Michigan gained 20 that way today.

I understand where you're coming from, but I have a major problem with this, though -- you're not their dad, it's NOT your job to make people feel better. How they feel is their own job to manage, not yours. Or mine, or anyone else's. If they want to worry themselves sick, then. let. them. It should be strongly pummeled into heads that doing so is self-sabotage and people need to be more responsible for not letting a fear win out, because all that does is bork the immune response.

It's political and will stop after Nov. 3rd. Then it's everyone for themselves.
I'm afraid if Trump wins again, COVID hoax will last for 4 more years.
People need to start fighting back and standing up for their rights or this could last years.
Mortality attributed to COVID-19 decreased compared to last week and is currently at the epidemic threshold but will likely increase as additional death certificates are processed.
Based on death certificate data, the percentage of deaths attributed to pneumonia, influenza or COVID-19 (PIC) decreased from 9.0% during week 25 to 5.9% during week 26, representing the tenth week of a declining percentage of deaths due to PIC. The percentage is currently at the epidemic threshold but will likely change as more death certificates are processed, particularly for recent weeks.

people with mild to no symptoms by and large.
If that's the case then why are hospitals in TX and AZ in crisis mode? Very few ICU/CCU beds.
Most are not COVID related.
Therefore, the data shown on this page may be incomplete, and will likely not include all deaths that occurred during a given time period, especially for the more recent time periods. Death counts for earlier weeks are continually revised and may increase or decrease as new and updated death certificate data are received from the states by NCHS. COVID-19 death counts shown here may differ from other published sources, as data currently are lagged by an average of 1–2 weeks.
Percent of expected deaths is the number of deaths for all causes for this week in 2020 compared to the average number across the same week in 2017–2019. Previous analyses of 2015–2016 provisional data completeness have found that completeness is lower in the first few weeks following the date of death ( < 25% ), and then increases over time such that data are generally at least 75% complete within 8 weeks of when the death occurred (8).

Not that anyone here cares but there's more to the COVID thing than deaths. So far 250,000 people have been hospitalized incurring significant medical bills. And there are a range of post-recovery complications that are affecting people's health long-term.

If that's the case then why are hospitals in TX and AZ in crisis mode? Very few ICU/CCU beds. Or are you saying the hospitals are lying and it's all made-up? And if that's the case, how do you explain the 180s the Governors of AZ & TX made? We're talking about two guys with their noses firmly between Trump's cheeks.
if we could have stopped all those protesters from spreading the Covid all around, this wouldn't be an issue, but since they did their dance, the country now has to pay the price. Or are you going to make some idiotic claim that BLM protests were immune from spreading covid?
