Umm no that is not actually happening atm from all reports that I just looked up.
Yes they are always under pressure but why would China risk a war with a country whose economy is tied together? Makes zero sense dude.

Taipei, July 4 (CNA) A Chinese military aircraft entered Taiwan's southwest air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on Saturday, before being chased off by Taiwanese patrol planes, according to the Air Force Command Headquarters.

Taiwanese fighter jets responded with radio warnings, and they monitored the Chinese aircraft's movements until it flew off, the Air Force said.

There is no cause for public alarm, the Air Force said, adding that it was closely monitoring the airspace and waters around Taiwan.

I doubt China will make a move against Taiwan this is probably a move to intimidate before Taiwan'a upcoming military drills , having said that the Chinese may fancy their chances given the disarray in Geopolitics at the moment.

The CCP is currently in disarray, scrambling to distract attention from multiple poorly handled crises, internal dissent, and overall chaos.

I got the front page from Taipei Times news for you (Well, that and the virus). I think they're ready for war. If I was a Chinese soldier, I'd surrender on spot.

It seems the latest tensions could be related to China's new Hong Kong policies and Taiwan's willingness to harbour dissidents from the colony .

With the introduction of China’s security law, Hong Kong’s pro-democracy groups such as Demosisto and the more hardline Hong Kong National Front have decided to disband. The latter, which advocates for Hong Kong’s full independence from China, is partially relocating to Taiwan.

Taipei opened on July 1 the new Taiwan Hong Kong Service Exchange Office to facilitate large-scale migration of Hongkongers to the island.

Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council minister, Chen Ming-tong, described the move as “not only a statement on Taiwan’s support to Hong Kong’s democracy and freedom, but also highlights our determination to care for Hong Kong people.”

In response, Zhu Fenglian, a spokeswoman for Beijing’s Taiwan Affairs Office, described the island nation’s ruling party, the Democratic Progressive Party, as a “black hand” which seeks to destabilize Hong Kong.

China is doing a Naval exercise and it just so happens that the US Navy has sent two aircraft carrier groups to participate in their own exercises. The two over lap. This would not be a good time for China to start anything with Taiwan. I do not know how many Boomers go with a carrier group or how many are on station but one would be enough to make the CCP cry for their Mother if it comes to turning loose a Boomer.. Taiwan is not defenseless but I would not want to be there if China goes after the Taiwanese jugular.

I am just glad India (with many others) has woke up to the Chinese plans for the region..

Anything can happen, but that sounds like one heck of a longshot!

I would imagine if China sent their entire naval fleet and air force to the US, less than 1% would make it to land. Even if more did, what are they going to do? Occupy the US with a small force while US citizens shoot at them from more than 50% of the households in the country?

I absolutely know nothing about military strategy. So I am just throwing a possibility out there.

If you have all the countries scattered, preparing for protecting of the smaller countries, or protecting home, while at the same time, there are agents promoting hate, destruction, and civil war in the US, we may be satisfactorily weakened.

I listened last night to enough ammunition being wasted that it could have filled a tanker. Those guns behind every blade of grass aren't as scary if they have depleted their ammo.

Our country is being led into a bad place. We are being distracted. We are being conditioned to care strictly about self, me, and mine. When a people can't trust their government, they lose all sense of loyalty to country.

With us divided, they can take us with very little firepower. We will literally just hand the country over to them.

Apart from Pakistan China have totally alienated all of their former allies. Even North Korea. You won’t have a war where China, Russia, Pakistan, Iran and North Korea are all on the same side.

In the event of an invasion Taiwan can call up 10 million solders, not bad for a small island, most of these will be armed with rifles and gun's not equipment but they will not stand alone.

They have enough equipment to hold off all but a complete and total invasion and enough men to fight hand to hand and have been preparing for a Chinese invasion ever since the communists took over the mainland, they are prepared and have remained so, there are trap's and bunkers that even the Communists spy's do not know about.

Good Luck from England Taiwan I hope my own nation send's military aid but we have far less than you these day's, still though small our Navy would give the Chinese a shock.

Expect Chinese assets to be FROZEN if they invade Taiwan and repayments on loan's owed to them to be Cancelled.
