That is exactly why i fill in a fake name and address for these store discount cards.

i get the perks - they think they are getting good customer data... everyone pretty much wins.

Well in Phoenix that will work- It sure didnt on Cape Cod where everyone knows everyone. I guess my name will become Myrna Lip#z.

Here at Wegmans in Pennsylvania you have to show your drivers license to get a card. Also I wonder what they ask for if you don't drive.Perhaps, some other form of I.D.
This creeps me because I jut got a card yesterday.

I go to the supermarket like once in a blue moon.

Going thru the trouble of getting that discount wouldn't be worth it for me.

Sometimes I get an automatic discount if I pick up takeout food myself instead of having it delivered tho.

Fred Meyers has a rewards card based on purchases. One dollar equals 1 point, 500 points equals $5. Every 13 weeks it resets and they mail you out some sort of reward card or check (it's new so I haven't received it yet).

Obviously they track everything purchased but I'm not concerned.
