Suspended Account...

Since there has been so much talk about ATS possibly not being around, I took Fallingdown up on his invitation to join, "The Fringe Forums".
I liked it fine, but never once made any posts, not even one.
Last night I went there and I got a large message that said;
"Account Suspended
This Account has been suspended.
Contact your hosting provider for more information."

That leads me to believe that it is my ISP that is the reason for this, but, I have an ISP that a real live person can't get through on the phone, so it leaves me to ask here...

What is going on?

I mean, I realize that these are some strange times, but this is ridiculous. If it's not that, does anyone understand what might be going on here?
Possibly it's political, as in, left or right?

My ISP is Suddenlink if that makes any difference. Actually, 4 years ago when I had the installer out here he mentioned to me that they could possibly make problems for me IF I were to go to certain sites, I naturally assumed that he was referring to places that had stuff to do with child porn, or downloading games and movies. I really didn't bother to ask what he meant.

Any guesses?

The website has been suspended. Not you.. their host shut them down. Maybe they didn’t pay their bills etc. dunno. Hopefully no one donated coulda been a fly by night site..

Weird. So I did a Google search on The Fringe Forum and clicked on the link. I have no account there and never have had any account there. It said the exact same thing “Account Suspended, contact your hosting provider for more information.” So maybe they’re having a DDOS attack or are temporarily down or something. I’d just give it a couple of hours and maybe try again.

It's been hours and hours already, so whatever happened has happened, maybe permanently.
Hopefully that gets straightened out over there, it was a slow pace, but it wasn't a bad place.

I'm really surprised that nobody here hasn't said anything about it, I know that quite a few from here checked it out recently.

Also, I liked it there. Had only signed up a few days before the shut down. The owner/operator seemed like a nice guy, was enthusiastic. I wouldn’t think he’d shut it down willingly.

I noticed it was down 3 days ago, I thought it was something to do with a post on there about "the attack on America is happening tonight" with it going on several days. I almost got spooked that I was blocked by my ISP.

It made me chuckle that maybe there was something up, but like others have said, they couldve skipped the bill.

Likely the bill is overdue. It is not a fly by night site, though. I've been a member there for a couple of years. They never ask for donations. I'm hoping the site goes back up, but who knows.

Well, now that makes sense, but at the time, I had no idea what to think had it been another kind of site, not one for any conspiratorial type stuff I wouldn't have given it any thought at all.

I just noticed an hour ago, I did not check ATS or TF for a few days and saw this thread now. Well there is that other double down forum named like beyond the fringe, the two places look very similar, almost like they originated from the first one. I checked for a thread there but crickets.

There are other sites with current and older members, but in order to participate, you have to be invited. sorry...
