It is unconstitutional, deprivation of life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

I suspect dying from an infectious disease is all of the above too.

I'd like to thank the lefties here for keeping me up-to-date with all things Trump. Real or imagined, there is nothing too insignificant or trivial to escape your scrutiny. Great job!

So, simple question.

Q: What is more effective at preventing the spread of CV-19, a cloth mask or social distancing?

Your own position hangs on your honest answer to that question.

I wouldn't, it's not constitutional.

Show me the part about masks in the constitution.

Our governor has just mandated public masks until a vaccine is made available.

Did your governor address what would happen if a vaccine is never available? I hope so.

I personally don't have a problem with masks; or even laws regarding masks; I do have a major problem with elected officials coming up with half measures that are not fully thought through and have no real details and plans behind them. To many political leaders lead by uninformed decree aimed at placating the most vocal social media users among their ideological base.

If the mandates don't come with a penalty, then they are not unconstitutional IMO (governors can blow all the smoke they want). I will not be mandated to wear a mask thus forcing me to inhale dangerously low levels of oxygen for hours on end. If you CHOOSE to wear a mask, more power to you. I will choose not to under any mandate. A retail business has the right to refuse me service, I will shop elsewhere.

That is not even a little bit true.

What will happen is local governments will fine businesses who do not mandate masks, and businesses will comply because they don't want to lose money. Good luck finding somewhere to shop.

I work in the environmental remediation industry, I am well versed on every type of respirator, including dust mask types. Some masks (the types being recommended by health officials) can reduce your oxygen levels as you are re-breathing your own exhaled air which is only 16% oxygen. The levels in many of these dust masks can be as low as 16-17% which is below the OSHA safe oxygen levels for confined spaces. Breathing reduced oxygen can cause reduced brain function, confusion, reduction in coordination, fatigue, and also affects your immune system over prolonged periods and chronic exposure. If you truly want to protect yourself you would at a minimum be wearing a half face APR with P100 filters.

www.osha.gov...

"Human beings must breathe oxygen . . . to survive, and begin to suffer adverse health effects when the oxygen level of their breathing air drops below [19.5 percent oxygen]. Below 19.5 percent oxygen . . . , air is considered oxygen-deficient. At concentrations of 16 to 19.5 percent, workers engaged in any form of exertion can rapidly become symptomatic as their tissues fail to obtain the oxygen necessary to function properly (Rom, W., Environmental and Occupational Medicine, 2nd ed.; Little, Brown; Boston, 1992). Increased breathing rates, accelerated heartbeat, and impaired thinking or coordination occur more quickly in an oxygen-deficient environment. Even a momentary loss of coordination may be devastating to a worker if it occurs while the worker is performing a potentially dangerous activity, such as climbing a ladder. Concentrations of 12 to 16 percent oxygen cause tachypnea (increased breathing rates), tachycardia (accelerated heartbeat), and impaired attention, thinking, and coordination (e.g., Ex. 25-4), even in people who are resting."
