I've learned a lot of things

I've learned a lot of things in life, some of them the hard way.

I've learned if you rope young bull the wrong way, there's no sense in fighting him because he'll just hurt ya (or more importantly, your horse).

I've learned you can never push a rope.

I've learned that 90% of times cows, like people, are never going to do what you suggest to them, until they do it their way first and figure out it was a bad idea...and then they still won't listen.

I've learned dogs are better than most people.

But above all, I've learned that most people just like to "talk about it", but when it comes to where the rubber meets the road, most people really aren't serious. And when it comes time to saddle up, most won't. When it comes time to act, most won't. Everybody has an opinion, about everything, but when the time comes to walk the walk...suddenly there's **crickets**.

I've learned I should have chosen a different life, one where I didn't care so much about things. One where everything, in every moment, didn't matter so much. Because, after a while, it hurts...not emotionally, but physically. Leadership has a price, and most times it has a cost, and that cost can leave a mark. And one day you just say..."well, if you don't want to get drug around the arena, then just let go of the rope!!". (wise words, from a wise old cowboy once)

So, why this post? Well, everyone says they want to save ATS, and I'm trying, but save for a few members, the participation has been less than stellar.

Maybe it's time to...'let go of the rope'.

As always, comments welcome.

I kinda figured that would be the end result.
It’s one of the main reasons I didn’t want to nut up or shut up.
Whenever I get involved it seems that all the others that spoke up are nowhere to be found and I end up doing everything.

Might be time to check your mailbox.

The sunset will occasionally create a crimson sky. An amazing (and forlorn) sight when people who love you, see you silhouetted against it.

Lol, so funny considering I just sent him message.

Look, I'm not a God, I'm just a person trying to do something, anything.

This may be fun to 'make fun' of, and that's fine, but at least I won't walk away saying I didn't try.

Please do laugh at me. It's okay, go ahead. It's not like I didn't have anything better to do.

I won’t be laughing at you for trying to save something you love.
Unfortunately I’ve seen way to many similar situations where many people are required to participate with either time or money and Not once has it ever worked out.

It’s how people are wired.
When they finally comprehend what they are committing too they fade out.

Straight up ... No one's ever going to laugh at you, Brother. You tried to fight the good fight. We all saw it.

I'm very sorry it isn't working out the way you hoped. Heck, the way we all hoped.

There are so many, many members I will miss reading everyday.

Someone has to take a hold of the reigns and lead, and I would like to thank you

for trying to do so. I think it is a massive task perhaps impossible and when you

have to rely on others, most of whom will be anonymous and not known to you

in real life.

Maybe it's time to...'let go of the rope'.

Like *most* members I will be lost without ATS. And should your efforts fail......

May I again THANK YOU for at least trying ......

And in the words of the late Vera Lynn I hope that

"We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day"

I've been thinking that maybe our time as ATSers ended. We were important when conspiracies and mysteries were veiled. The job has been done and we should be proud of our contribution.

Lets think about those years as preparation, remember sometimes we even discussed predictions that told us about what we're living now. We should be ready now.

If, by tomorrow, we don't have any serious engagement, I will send a PM to Skeptic telli8ng him I am sorry, and I was misguided, and we no longer wish to waste any of his team's time.

They are hemorrhaging cash to the tune of $25k per month (this is like $850 per DAY !). With no revenue, this is impossible to sustain!

I don't understand that number, but it doesn't matter. We either move forward, or ATS dies. It's real simple.

This isn't a matter of months, it's a matter of days.

It's only fair to be honest with everyone, including the ownership!

If we're not serious, then we owe it to everyone to say this.

I am a completely transparent person. I have no desire to change that now. Not now.

All the best.

FCD.

Letting go is easy!! It is the memories of holding on that are hard!!

That is the problem with ME examples (I.e., how do you get someone to understand about the decision to let go if they have not had the same experience?? Can you?? Is language enough?? Has the other the spiritual/emotional maturity level that effective communication is even possible??)

Maybe that is the issue with Disclosure. Why conspiracy still exists.

FCD, you are a poet!!

The OP is the ATS haiku but written as Zen koan! (The original Japanese story was about a pilgrimage to Mt. Fuji to pray. Each of the trip’s episodes was summed up in the 5-7-5 haiku structure with imagery that seems to have nothing to do with what you just read... unless you have had a similar experience and asked the same question then watched it unfold like a fan; each blade different from its neighbor, but, as a whole, produces an effect that can be described using metaphor which seems incongruous. But FCD, the Truth is, it is not!)

You are the wind!

I backed out, because it seemed like people only want to keep this site the way it is, and I'm only willing to go in if there are plans to bring it up date. I said I was willing to go in, and I didn't hear from anyone.

So, whatever.
