oh dear - to be blunt - there are a lot of replies from ATS members who clearly do not comprehend how the real world works .

take - for example - the " idea " of eliminating hitler from the timeline

yeah great , no hitler

BUT hitler was at one point - just one of several right wing activists .

ernst rohm - google him - he would not have just disapeared too - in a hitler free world - and hitler [ and associates ] - eliminated rohm

there were many other casualties - mostly deliberate - that facilitated hitlers rise

no hitler - does not eliminate the underlying causes that enabked hitler - nor the rivals he eliminated to ensure that hitler rose to the top

the only thing worse than hitler = a competant german ultra nationalist leader in the 30s

I seriously doubt another would have possessed Hitler's cunning and rhetorical skills and charisma.
a Rohm or Goebbels (or Ludendorf) group would never have achieved the same power.
Goering maybe, but he would have let underlings manage the country and lived a life of luxury on his estates. not a driven idealist like Hitler.

I'll play. I say the guy that killed or had Jesus killed. I'm not religious don't know the exact story. But that way we could see what would happen if he was real and how the world would be. Would he have just died of old age? Was he just a regular guy?

And someone from my lifetime would be epstiens dad. Another 2'fer. Countless children saved, at least their minds and bodys

Well, perhaps I didn't get the whole Jesus story ...

... but it's kinda fundamental to the idea of His sacrifice to take away the sins of the world that He be killed, right?

I mean, even though he's God and everything, so He knew He wouldn't stay dead. (Never been clear on that one.)

Anyway, the premise of the discussion seems fundamentally flawed. Removing any individual from history changes the present. In unpredicaable ways.

I chose no one.

wilhelm ii, if it wasn't for him the Soviet union would have never came to be and maybe russia would have gone down the Democratic path like other European monarchies, likely averting the cold war and preventing communism from spreading into asia and elsewhere, preventing the rise of interventionalism in the middle east, the americas and elsewhere, likely allowing the middle east keep up with Europe and preserve their more enlightened old ways and preventing extremism and maybe even influencing the UN to create palestine and israel side by side in peace. making a much more peaceful world.

Michael Thomas for recent history. That 89th minute goal to win the league title in 1989 ruined what should have been a joyous childhood celebration! Mind you, i guess on the flip side it was a decent lesson in how sucky life can be!

Genghis Khan for older history. Not for the conquest, rape and murder but for not leaving a giant flashing neon sign saying tomb is here.

Yea I was on the fence about it. I know he died for our sins. But maybe he was just a regular guy and would have been called out later on and maybe there would be no religion at least any based off of him and his father. On the other hand if he was real maybe there could have been world peace already.

But like you said way to much to ponder and infinity outcomes. I also chose Epstein because I just finished watching those 2 pedo docs that were posted. Grossed me out

Not everyone believes and are saved.

Sin is death, God is perfect, God became flesh in the form of His Son who was sinless, to save all those that believe in Him and paid the ultimate sacrifice by bearing our sin, we are saved by grace, so no man can boast they were saved by good works alone.

There is a deep gulf that divides belief and unbelief, its why they call it the leap of faith.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, who so ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

I chose no one.

Same.

No one.

The names would change but the result would be the same.

You can't stop the human animal for doing what's a natural trait.

Topical inception... I'd go back in time and hand a latex prophylactic to the father of Charles Goodyear... the gentleman who perfected the rubber vulcanization process which led to the development of the latex condom.

I thought that was tyres. A vulcanised condom seems like overkill

"Vulcanization is a chemical process in which the rubber is heated with sulphur, accelerator and activator at 140–160°C. The process involves the formation of cross-links between long rubber molecules so as to achieve improved elasticity, resilience, tensile strength, viscosity, hardness and weather resistance."

Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Joseph Smith, the guy who started the JW's and maybe Xenu.

I'm still on the fence with the last one since I like the whole chucking people into volcanoes thing.
