I didn't read your whole post, but I think I get the jist.

I've been testing the waters of ATS modding and overall zeitgeist and I have come to the conclusion that ATS is straight up censoring reason in the name of clicks.

All these idiots in the political mudpit are dragging the quality of the site and the info in it, down into an echo chamber of traffic.

Clicks make money.

So, with the old guard gone or silenced and the ownership satisfied by numbers over content, what used to be a conspiracy news site, that I used to check twice daily for important, relevant info has become a socially engineered op ed forum of right wing stupity.

I, for one, will only comment on ATS threads now, instead of writing theads because they don't seem to care or are unable to see how this place has become as stinking hellhole of American ignorance.

A classic reactionary response to the beauty of a critical theory, innit? Which means this isn't exactly a bad thing, at this point I'd look at it as being pure reaffirmation, and entirely counterproductive on their end. Could you ask for more than personal attacks, and people going through your posting history, in order to deflect from their own topics only because you've untwisted their bollocks? The damage control is literally grinding it's teeth out burning through PR personell and textbook replies.

All it took was a few people with a laser focus on the issues they pretended to debate. Why so serious then? Relax and enjoy the mockery? There isn't much else to do for us now, or is it? The factcheck you're asking for would kill this site faster than those idiots with their big lies, amazing to see you guys glossing over that part.

This never was a conspiracy news site. You're likely going to be misled when you use poorly researched ATS threads as the sole source of information without any serious legwork on your end.

Know how you fight extreme views?

Say things in a polite way that makes people feel ridiculous generally works. At least for folks who think. For folks who don't think, you won't ever break through to them without them first feeling the pain of their own views. Had an uncle that was extremely conservative and hated the idea of people "sucking Uncle Sam's teet". Until his motorcycle wreck put him in a wheelchair and he needed that teet.
