Russia urges the U.S. to ‘observe democratic standards’ and respect right to protest

Russia of all countries?

The Russian Foreign Ministry urged the U.S. authorities to respect Americans’ right for peaceful protest amid the wave of demonstrations sparked by George Floyd’s death.

The ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, says Moscow has taken note of the use of tear gas to disperse rallies and massive arrests of protesters in the U.S. She also pointed out numerous journalists, including Russian reporters, were hurt while covering the protests.

I mean Trump and his allies do have a lot of respect for Russia so maybe they'll take note? I'm sure we can all agree though that Russia should be the last country to speak up about these things considering their treatment of their own protesters, transgendered, minorities (we'll take good note of the Caucus muslims and seperatists), political rivals? How about silencing opponents during their elections? Obviously though they see an opportunity here?

The Kremlin likes the great entertainment, of course they want it to keep on going. It is way more interesting than their TV shows are.

Joe Biden doesn't know what he's talking about. He said Russia wants President Trump to win. The evidence continues to accumulate that Russia wants Joe Biden to win.

Imagine how this would have been reported if it had been happening in Russia.

And bear in mind how Trump and his predecessors have delighted in taking the moral high ground when any sort of protests have taken place and been squashed in other countries.

Are you really surprised that they are reporting it in this manner?

Not saying I agree with this just slightly amused that anyone would expect anything other than this.

Oh they're having a field day already. The way things are being handled in the US takes all the attention off them. Jesus, the amount of inhumane things Putin's government have inflicted on their own is on an entirely other level.

I am a little surprised. I mean the Russian people aren't that dumb.... they're well aware of Putin's actions on their own... granted many of them may have Stockholm Syndrome, but still.... surely Putin's aware of the risk he'd be putting out, the risk of response, by criticizing others......

Russia's goal from the get-go was to turn Americans against each other and laugh as our country falls apart from the inside out. They were heavily involved in the 2016 election and are at it again. Hasn't stopped.

Believe it or not the majority of Russian people are more than happy with Putin.
In their eyes he has made Russia great again and always puts Russia first.

They will take great delight in being able to as they see it lord it over the US and generally take the piss out of them.....same as far too many across the world.

What if all people on earth became friends, and we just helped each other out.
Think of Trump, Putin, Biden.. heck even Obama chilling in a cabin, having some drinks and enjoying to some music.

No. The country will fall from within. Most of the world thinks we're ridiculous because all the jokes from gender BS to feminism to just general mental disorders that are propped up as Correct Think.

No other country has to touch us at this point because the loudest minority are tanking the country at light speed, all with the help from a very well funded psychological attack by China.
