Many people loose the veneer of basic principles if the opportunity arises and it may benefit them.
Unfortunately this is due to a bad upbringing.
These folk think it is there due to steal.
If you see some one drop money, do you consider it your luck, or do you return it.
This is criminal behaviour, plain and simple, the whys, are irrelevant.

Tragically, all this reinforces the stereo types that form the gut instinct of those charged with keeping law and order.
This behaviour can easily be used as a mitigating factor to why excessive force is too often considered reasonable.

His opinion concerned 90% of the protestors, not 90% of the protests. While that number is high, in my estimation, many thugs are taking advantage of the situation.
Peaceful protests during the day are hijacked by Antifa/BLM/others at night as they incite riots and promote looting, vandalism and arson. Most rioters are doing it for fun, free stuff for themselves, and stuff to be sold later. It only takes a few Antifa to stash bricks and bottles in repositories and incite petty criminals to move up to arson and murder from shoplifting.
The world can see what is happening, once again. Some high profile folks are in denial and are justifying the violence until, of course, they are on the receiving end.

Yet. Self destruction of one’s own neighborhoods will be one of the biggest legacies of the”protests”, and the lack of condemnation of all violence by the left. The lack of condemnation for the sacking and torching of their neighbor’s businesses and livelihoods.

Anyway, 90% of protestors are about protesting. That’s why the protests are bigger than the looting. Hyperbole is fun and all, but saying 90% of protestors are looting is really no different than when somebody says all cops are racist murderers or when blm says its open season on black men.
