Got news for you, the majority of citizens are not in favor of looting and property destruction.

Anybody that is should not be allowed in civil society.

I am not thrilled with it, but at the same time what other choice is there, considering how cash strapped everyone is how are they going to pay for rebuilding.

If the protestors are not policing their own, and if the local govt wont, then big brother will be forced to.

It sucks, I hate it, it shouldn't have to happen, But I am not sure what else can be done even though it will destroy trumps re-election chances.

I can see easily end this with a civil war in the USA.

I don't think it will escalate to that level. Civil unrest for a while, perhaps. I honestly don't know. I've been turning off US news and politics lately, but this caught my attention. Just seemed a little alarming.

It is alarming, you are absolutely correct. Folks here think it's patriotic and triumphant to have the military rolling down their streets patrolling their everyday lives.

Saddest part is that this isn't a win for the law abiding citizens at all. It just furthers the rift between us and them causing more fear, uncertainty, and distrust in others. Sustained chaos.

That's a win for the anarchists.

We just activated what essentially everybody on this forum has been claiming to be afraid of for their entire lives, but because its Trump everyone is gonna go right along with it.

How would you stop the rioting, looting and arson? Please be specific if you can?

I'm not sure how I feel. I did not vote for Trump nor am I Republican, but what other way is there?

Rioters, looters and arsonists are not protesters, of that I'm certain.

It has definitely gotten past the point of burning down police stations and turning over cop cars.

I am honestly, all for rioting and accelerated protesting, but only with a means of an end, or it's justifiable, you can't have revolution without some sort of end game goal. But when it becomes a free for all. It's a sign, something is broken within the society, or immediate community.

I noted that he praised the protesters many times over the last few days. Agrees with them in fact.

Do you think the real protesters want the anarchists to riot, burn and steal?

It's not the right time for partisan garbage IMO.

Oh, not much, just watching the descent into authoritarianism.

But that's all cool, since Trump is the dictator we don't need no stinkin' Constitution or checks and balances no more.

Ah, and it begins. I have spent the past 2 and a half months warning people that their embracement of the outright #ting upon the Constitution of the United States in the name of pandering irrational fears about a goddamned flu virus would be thrown back in their faces when they tried to embrace that Constitution down the road and, well, batter up boy, 'cause here it comes high and tight to the head.

The Constitution was ignored for months and anyone who groused about it was shouted down and, frankly, this is what you now get. Perhaps, looking back, liberty and freedom shouldn't have been ignored in an unprecedented series of actions by governors and mayors without the citizenry standing opposed to that fascism en masse because now here we are, seeing the potential for liberties and freedom to come under attack with recent precedent declaring those attacks are perfectly fine so long as the government can say they're doing it for our own good, to save us from ourselves, or to calm fears. This is your bed, people who defended the Coronavirus response, lay it and see how comfortably you sleep.

How do you feel about the innocent victims? The small mom and pop businesses being looted and burned?

Riot is not protest, it's plain old-fashioned crime by run-of-the-mill thieves and criminals. People are not dumb enough to think otherwise, even those doing it.

I 100% support the protests. The other though is coming from common thugs.

This isn't about race, nor is it even remotely a naturally occurring incident. As such, much like the manipulated "Arab Spring," I suspect the entire West is going to see first hand what seems to have picked the USA as it's launching point.

The United States just experienced an exercise of destroying the economy and crapping all over the Constitutional RIghts of hundreds of millions in the name of saving (according to models) less than 100,000 lives. Now we're to believe those Constitutional Rights are going to withstand and the economy be restructured and rebuilt in the name of one dead convicted felon? Not buying it. There are other things afoot here.

There's always going to be collateral damage in civil unrest, revolution, or civil war.

i disagree with this completely, it's entirely about race. These people looting aren't fighting for the constitution or because they were locked up in their homes against their rights. That's nonsense. This IS a race issue, just not how you think. It's flipped.

Does that mean putting up with it? Just letting them run wild? Remember, I'm not talking about the protesters here.

This is not a civil war. The number of people involved in the crimes are tiny and powerless, and if the sane people stand up to them, they lose and lose badly. It's gone on long enough. Too many people are being hurt. It is time to reign in the agitators and do it forcefully.

You thought the Patriot act was bad, get ready for the real deal. It's time for the "blackout" no www. Restricted travel for everyone. And a stock market crash.

If you are a bugout supporter, now might be a good time to head out before the roads get all clogged up and there's no gas anywhere.

There's also always going to be collateral damage in trying to maintain order, including dealing with crime and criminals. See how that attitude must work both ways?

You have some very threatened people organizing and creating the chaos and division .

There are videos of pallets of bricks being dropped off in key riot areas , democrat MN mayor and governors stating that majority of the arrested are from out of town then taking it back, Police chief saying they have found stolen vehicles around riot areas with weapons. You have videos of white hipsters in skinny jeans rioting and paying people and driving around in riot areas passing out bricks for people to riot with.

The media, Hollywood, and bidens campaign are trying to paint this as a peaceful protest and going as far enough to pay for the release of those booked for rioting or breaking the law. This is democrat run . then you have the whole trade and silent war with china who owns a good portion of Hollywood.

I didn't vote for trump but it appears that many disgusting people that are willing to trash our Country to get trump out of office are very desperate and willing to do anything to get trump out of office. That much is evident or its one hell of a reverse psychological operation.

It would be very naive to think that some don't want and have a need to enact some type of instant justice towards the system. All the looting and property damage isn't being done by just the anarchists.

How do you separate symbiotic ideologies, where one ideology is dependent or sympathetic to the other?

It's a mix. It's opportunitistic, entitled "compensation" for many involved in this. Period. Others simply don't give a f#, but they're not anarchists, but hey...why not?

I said "real protesters", not the thieves, arsonists and looters. They are criminals and opportunists taking advantage of the situation. They may claim otherwise, but most people are not naive enough to believe it. The only people rationalizing it are themselves and those who get off on it. Wanna-be rioters and thieves if you will.

Anyone who is against the rule of law and the enforcement of it are anarchist by definition.

If the protestors are not policing their own,

Many actually are. I've been seeing videos of protesters calling out and trying to prevent opportunists from destruction of property and fomenting violence, because it's an attempt to undermine legitimate protests, as is the plan.

The protesters largely aren't the ones doing this, but opportunists.

ETA:

It seems that the minority inciting violence and vandalism gives reason for authority to quash protest in general. And authority treats all as the same, which is problem.
