What world?

The world does not appear except in stories.

What appears in plain sight?

The truth is hidden in plain sight.

Those that have eyes....see.

But man only sees the stories that words produce....and gets lost outside the present.....banished from the garden.

Stories about a separate person in time.....the mind made stories of 'me in time'.

But nothing can ever escape now.

The seeing and the appearance are one.

It's just a movie happening in stillness.

You believe you were born into a world and that you are a thing among other things.......but you have misidentified yourself.

The first issue is you believe yourself to be something that you are not.......and from that starting point everything will feel wrong.

So the first issue I have is that from your own perspective the assertion you just made about me, or even the idea that there is a you to make assertions is absurd. In order to tell me that I am wrong or that I can even have issues, you would need to presuppose that there is a real distinction between you and I, which is not allowed given your view of reality. You cannot make our act of having a discussion now intelligible given your view of ontology. You worship nothingness, because you seek to dissolve your own identity into nothing. It is where you came from, and it is where you long to return, rather than to the one who brought you ought of nothing.

I wrote a thread a long time ago, and this conversation is at this point reminding me of what I wrote. You simply cannot win an argument with a person who is insane. A sane person listening to your presentation may become convinced, but there is no way of convincing a person who is not sane of anything. For example, Lets say I am holding a pineapple in my hand and claim that it is a pineapple, but another person in the room instead claims that it is a tv remote. I would be completely incapable of refuting this persons claim as I would have no stronger proof other than a pineapple being in my hand. This person and I would have a fundamental disagreement about reality, and the only solution to this would be to the resolution of a mental illness. I find the above example, parallels to the discussions I have upon morality. For example I may say that torturing babies for pleasure is objectively evil. Yet there are those who would argue that morality is based on the subjective whims of each individual person. Those who argue this are simply calling my pineapple a tv remote. There is a fundamental disagreement about reality.

I have no stronger argument that the torturing babies for pleasure is objectively evil independently of anyone’s subjective preference than the self-evident fact that torturing babies is objectively evil. I cannot hope to convince anyone who disagrees with such things that objective morality is the truth behind reality as they simply are not in touch with reality.

If rationality is not something you value, then of course I will never convince you to abandon an irrational metaphysic.

No you're incorrect sir. There is an intention of convincing you to abandon irrationality. According to your own position there are no words. There are no objects. No acts such as winning. Only oneness. See what I mean? Your position doesn't allow you to speak perhaps you should listen to Lao Tzu:

He who knows, does not speak. He who speaks, does not know.

This is the only coherent way for you to live given your beliefs.

What is appearing is appearing all by itself.......it's a movie.

What you are/I am.....is the witnessing presence.

That which is eternal is the witnessing presence.......and without existence being witnessed there would be no appearance.

Notice that the body is in constant change..... sensations change, they come and go.....thoughts appear and disappear but what is aware of the changing is always the same.

That which is knowing the changing/movie is what is eternal......

None of this makes sense given your metaphysic. There is no thing witnessing for there is only one. You cannot speak to me without drawing distinctions, yet you deny the reality of distinctions. This is absurd my friend.

Isn't it fair to say nothing infinite can exist in a finite universe, because it would run out of space. So PI being an infinite number requiring infinite space to project, and since at the quantum level no information is lost, the universe must be infinite. What does that do to math's?
