“We’ll look at what went well, what areas do we see crowding,” Shea said. “We’ll make adjustments both in deployment as well as in the messaging.”
Meanwhile, Police Benevolent Association President Pat Lynch released a statement, reading in part, “the NYPD needs to get cops out of the social distancing enforcement business altogether.”
“The cowards who run this city have given us nothing but vague guidelines and mixed messages, leaving the cops on the street corners to fend for ourselves,” his statement continued.
You know, as a police officer I'm compelled to make this video. I've been in law enforcement for 10 years, and I'm speaking to my peers, other fellow officers, people in any law enforcement position. I've seen officers nationwide enforcing tyrannical orders against the people. And I'm hoping -- I'm hoping it's a minority of officers, but I'm not sure anymore because every time I turn on the television, every time I tur-- I look to the internet, I'm seeing people arrested or cited for going to church, for traveling on the roadways, for going surfing, opening their businesses, going to the park with their families, or for doing their nails out of their own house -- using their own house as a place of business. And having undercover agents go there and arrest them, and charge them with -- with what? With a crime? I don't know what crime people are committing by doing nails in their own house. But we're seeing them do this more and more and more, and uh we need to start looking at ourselves as officers, and thinking, "Is what I'm doing right?"
Now I want I want to remind you that regardless where you stand on the coronavirus, we don't have the authority to do those things to people just because a mayor or a governor tells you otherwise. Uh I don't care if it's your sergeant or chief of police, we don't get to violate people's Constitutional rights because somebody in our chain of command tells us otherwise. It's not how this country works."

I'm very frustrated with myself because I cannot for life of me remember the name of the Arizona sheriff who refused to enforce federal law, and it went all the way to the Supreme Court ruling in his favor.

Sheriff Richard Mack from Safford, Arizona.
Dude was legend in the SW when I was a kid over that middle finger he threw into Clinton's face over the Brady Bill.

Sheriff Fortney (KIRO Radio, Hanna Scott)
Put simply, “your words were akin to yelling ‘Fire’ in a crowded theatre.” That’s how Snohomish County Prosecutor Adam Cornell closed out a letter to Sheriff Adam Fortney, refusing to defend him against a recall effort over his public criticism and refusal to enforce the Gov. Inslee’s stay-at-home order.
***EDITED OUT NONARTICLE ITEM***
Fortney made the comments in an April 21 Facebook post following a statewide address from Inslee outlining a path forward to reopening the economy, that critics complained lacked specific details on benchmarks.
Among other things, Fortney repeatedly questioned the constitutionality of the governor’s order, and reiterated his position that he would not enforce it.
The comments drew criticism from several public officials, including some county officials, State Attorney General Bob Ferguson, and the governor himself.
It also prompted the filing of a recall petition by Snohomish County resident Lori Shavlick, accusing him of malfeasance, and a violation of his oath of office for refusing to enforce the emergency order, encouraging violations, and unilaterally declaring it unconstitutional.
Shavlick believes she has the signatures for the recall but because of the pandemic gathering them the traditional way is a challenge, so she’s waiting to hear if the courts will allow a special online signature gathering. She is keeping supporters

I got word form an insider that there seems to be evidence of a planned use of homeless encampments being used to fake election results.
In my encounters, most LEO’s are REALLY good peeps.
I have encountered the bad apples.
I don’t let that overshadow the positive experiences I’ve had.
