Hello ATS.

This may be old news to some but it's the first time I've heard of it. This ism, apparently, an official Space Force recruitment video. I don't think there are many civilian positions available. It is said that most recruits come from already established military ranks; mainly from the Air Force.

What says ATS? I think the Space Force is very exciting. I'd join in a heartbeat if I could. What says ATS?

I like the old ones better.

Do your part! Would you like to know more?

Dang. That's actually a pretty decent recruitment video. Most of the time they're cheesy and I cringe everytime I see one. I'd definitely reenlist to be a part of the space force.

If there was actually already an established in space space force.

I don't think we will have that capability to have a manned presence in space for reconnaissance or exploration for at least another century. But what do I know. If we put as much funding into as we do the rest of the military I wouldn't be surprised.

Man, it's things like this that make me feel as if I were birn a couple centuries too early.

I signed up, even though I don't have much to offer, but I want to make my family proud and join the space force.

They actually accepted me, as a janitor.....

But still, there will come a day when everyone knows the name Roger Wilco.....my family will be so proud..

The echo is so powerful it will even be heard in Space......Space where no one can hear you scream but everyone will hear the cry of the "Space force."

Ok. This is the coolest ad I've seen.

It is the first step to the right direction.

To the upper hand.

I used to wait tables in Colorado springs (early 2000's). Space command groups would come in for lunch all the time. I would try to eavesdrop but never heard anything too exciting. Don't know if space force is a separate unit or a rebrand of space command.

Like whag Zap said above. Even if there is an in space manned fleet most of them would be janitors.

Other than that there would also be mostly maintenance people. Some navigation people, and then the officers running the show.

There would probably be a team of scientists on each ship. At least a few scientists would make up a team.

It probably wouldn't be much different than how a naval ship is run. But the requirements will probably be much higher. They probably won't take people fresh out of high school. They'll want college/university educated people. No one with a criminal record yada yada.

Also it will probably be an actual commitment. Whereas here on Earth you can do four years and be done, you probably be signing up for ten or more years, possibly even twenty or forty depending on the nature of the mission.

If there is an exploration mission that could take decades, and there's no turning back once that ship has left.

That is of course unless some format of faster than light travel or teleportation ever becomes becomes reality.

I love this movie. Want to be a citizen with a voice then you have to contribute. Can't just sit around praying for and bashing those who serve.

"JANITORS.... IN.... SPAAAACEEEE!"

it will need telephone sanitisers also, but I'd happily do the rounds if it meant being up up in a galaxy far far away.

Great video!Gave me goosebumps. The Space Force is by far the coolest branch of the military.I bet it will probably replace most if not all of the other branches in the future. If I was American I would join the USSF.Go USA!

Funny thing is that if I had the same type of job in the Star Wars universe and had joined the Imperials I would have been wearing that dorky ass helmet you see the gunners wearing on the Death Star.

But to be honest if I lived in the Star Wars universe I'd probably be a smuggler.

Don't wear your Janitor Uniform in Cesspool Canada then....lol....lol.

Look what the rotten plicks they call Cops will do to you.

Canada is near a breaking point and no one is giving it any press or media coverage.

It is much much worse than in the USA.

I think it's pretty cool but the name is stupid as hell.

I'm glad I was in the US Navy and not the US water force.

Try as I might not to, every time I see or hear the name "Space Force", I think of Space Ghost.

I'm not sure exactly why that's the case, but I'm having a really hard time breaking the habit.

In the Navy we called ourselves and/or were called "squids". I don't know what members of the Space Force call themselves and/or will be called, but I do have a suggestion...

Space force should be the pinnacle of all the military, at least in the future anyway, so I'd of expected something a bit more tantalising from the ad. It would have been nice for something a bit more revealing to have been used, something to pique a genuine interest in those who could apply.

Sadly, I'm more eager to see the new Top Gun 2 movie than wait to see the revelations of the 'space force'....... at least just yet..... anyway.
