I've just been wondering what those mean. And Yeah, I just have to fill up space because my question is too short. So I wonder if this is long enough yet?

IM = Instant Messenger

HO = ?

Well in my humble opinion I can only tell you what the first two are, maybe some one else can tell you the rest

I'm sure there is an internet slang dictionary on the web somewhere for anyone not familiar with the abbreviations.

people also use ROFL for rolling on the floor laughing, not ROTFL, iirc (if i recall correctly. and yes that was an excuse to use that)
