Being polite and civil, I am on board with. Lets not pretend you don't know the difference between that and a full fledged SJW is though. You know the type. That is why one isnt a SJW for expecting politeness. Or are you saying that the OPs encounter was with a SJW, because that one told a mod he was called a name? This definition is what my post was about.
Well I didn't see any area where he said he was being impolite.
So last week I was on another site and I called someone a stupid kid. Bam I got modded and suspended for insulting someones intelligence.
Being labelled a racist/homophobe/etc is pretty much the kneejerk reaction. Same with snowflake/socialist on the flipside.
