All the variants are called Covid-19. It's unique enough that it's not mistaken for anything else. The variants are tiny... if it was human (and not a virus) the mutations would be on the order of "has blue eyes" or "has black hair" or "has freckles" and not "has an extra arm and three hands."

COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) is the disease.
SARS-Cov-2 (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2) is the virus that causes it (of which 2 strains are known to have been identified thus far).
edit: Of the two known viruses, one is thought to be considerably more dangerous.

Also, they need to do this type of study in New York. New York has a huge number of people been tested in the hospital. Does this mean that there are 50 times as many people who had mild or no symptom? New York has 252,000 confirmed cases. That would mean that there are 10 million people that have the antibodies in New York alone

Two types of test are typically developed in regard to a disease, one to test for the microbial agent (virus, bacteria, etc.) and one to test for the antibodies. The first is used to identify/confirm what it is or if an individual is actively infected, the latter identifies if they have been exposed (at some time) and are immune by testing if they are producing the antibodies that help combat the microbial agent, in many cases years or decades after exposure depending on the antibody production.

The antibody test results can also be used to identify how much of a population has been exposed and make estimates as to "herd immunity" in a community.

In short, it is real, not nonsense.

Earliest known US death was actually in early February in California with no known travel history.

It happened in Santa Clara Co California which means that person got in mid-January.

So the virus was here earlier than thought and already spreading in the community. So if you thought you had it, you should get antibody tested.

I don't get it, official results from an antibody test conducted by the University of Southern California (USC) and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health showed that mortality rate from Covid19 in L.A. county is less than 0.2% and they continue with this lockdown charade?!?

The doctors are not going to respect the CDC and NIH after they learn they were led to believe this whole thing has been blown out of proportion and is destroying the economy and in some cases is destroying the community hospitals that have to turn away all the non-essential operations and doctors appointments. The CDC cannot cover up this by adding all deaths to the covid deaths, they already added most of the deaths with possible covid like symptoms to their list of covid deaths. The CDC is just as guilty of covering things up here as the Chinese government was, just a different tactic being used.
