The real problem is that Biden is not a serious candidate.

Yes he is. He is the prospective Democratic nominee.

All three of them would no doubt do a damn sight better job than any of the candidates and probably the vast majority of previous holders of the position!

IAMTAT is another suggestion.

Or...

Or.....

That still doesn't make him a serious candidate.

It is painfully obvious that the man is truly mentally compromised. How can you ask the country to vote for him? You cannot be serious, and that's what I mean.

Candice Owens. And hope that Biden dies right after he takes the oath.

Why? Because she is intelligent, beautiful, courageous talented, I could go on for days, she is just awesome!

I think he should pick someone without early stage dementia, unlike himself. Another good qualification would be to not be a perv. That would help balance out Joe.

Good for America, should Biden win? Better for America. We are still screwed if Biden wins.
Good for Trump's reelection? Nope
Good for Biden's election. Can't hurt

I wouldn't even be saying this if Bernie had been the nominee. He still has all of his mental faculties as far as I can tell; I just vehemently disagree with the conclusions he has drawn about what's best for all of us.

The same would apply to Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, et al. Even Hillary Clinton seemed to be more or less all home upstairs although I wondered about her health in other ways.

Hillary Clinton.

Seconded. For the additional embarrassment, she needs to lose again.

You're on a hiding to nothing asking that question here mate.

As for who he should pick I'd say the most qualified and suited younger person , plan for the future.

Many of us here at ATS dont have Facecrook, so that link doesn't work for us.

Joe Biden is the prospective Democratic nominee

well, from dunkin donuts, to 7-11's, to chains and cornpops, this was the best they could field?
and his old boss still hasn't endorsed him......

3 years and millions of people to choose from and it is joe biden......wow

and all this time I thought you guys hated the bad orange man.....seems not so much

as bad as a nominee as he is, I predict the dnc doubles down and puts the hag hillary with him

making the worst possible ticket ever

God bless America

More like you all need to be picking whom you really would like to be president because you know that's where it's heading.

Who will be president without actually having to run and be voted on.

Spot on. It's a legitimate question though because there is going to be a running mate.

That said it is relatively easy pickings as there are few if any viable candidates. This is true on both sides of the isle. I mean, Pence? That guy? Really?

In the end who really cares? The VP is like the first lady anyway, unless you are Dick Cheney.

Since I do not believe Joe Biden is presidential material, I think (at most) he should be the VP and someone else should be running for president instead of him. As for who? I don't know. My feeling on it is there has to be someone better than Joe Biden available to the Democrats even if you don't like the Democrats.

If a Democratic president is in the cards for the next term, I really do not think Biden is the guy who is best suited to the task.

Personally? I'm not necessarily in line with everything the Democrats stand for but I am always in flux on politics and I personally just don't like Donald Trump. Even if I liked most of his policies, I find him to be a terrible leader and no kind of role model for anyone to aspire to. I find his personality and his behavior to be repulsive and unbecoming of the office. He is doing us all a horrible disservice in his conduct.

on a hiding to nothing. phrase. If you say that someone who is trying to achieve something is on a hiding to nothing, you are emphasizing that they have absolutely no chance of being successful.

He said it will be a female, so how about Dr. Jill Biden? Since nepotism is the new norm in the Whitehouse.

Alternate, Washington outsiders: Oprah
Alternate Washington insider: Michelle Obama

I'm still not sure I understand. Are you saying it's futile to get serious answers out of the ATS community, or that Biden's candidacy is a futile effort, so why even ask the question?
