Give. us. a. better. candidate.
Sheesh. None of this is rocket surgery. Trump got elected because he was the better pick. Trump is going to get re-elected because he is still the better choice.
Everything else (and all the bitching) is just pigsqueel zooting.

All you fools with your head turned inwards to domestic policy and Trump this and Trump that, don't seem to realize that America lost the third world war, which was fought without a single shot being fired.
The third world war was an economic one. America started it against China, and whether you accept it, realize it or deny it, the fact is that America lost it.
With the single release of a microscopic agent, China has crippled American economy. Just look at the crash of the GDP, the exponential increase of unemployment claims, the turmoil of the market, the expansion of people requiring extraordinary measures (such as the money handouts) to keep afloat.
And not only that, but with an uber practical and radical real politik approach, China has been swift in taking advantage of Trump's miopic "America First" diatribes and demagoguery, moving fast to occupy the vaccuum left by the US, in taking a leading role at the international level. Chinese equipment, doctors, supplies, and soft excercises of power have inundated the world the past three weeks, while the US is discussing if Trump's interests in hydrocloiquine companies or Dr. Fauci's facepalms actually mean something.
Maybe you don't see it now, but this pandemic has changed the world. No doubt the world will keep on moving forward. Just not with America in the front this time. If that is a good or bad thing, remains to be seen.
I agree with everything you say in this particular post. But China is going to be hurt far more by this epidemic than the United States. You mention that China’s producing again. Who are they going to sell their products to? The entire world is suffering from a recession of epic proportions that could become another Great Depression. China will be able to sell anything that’s useful re: the pandemic, but the dollar value of those products will be trifling compared to their pre-pandemic export totals. China’s economy is much more trade dependent than the USA’s, and we’re their biggest export customer. And the realization of just how dependent we are on China for so many things needed to deal with the virus will result in a lot of manufacturing moving out of China. Trust in China has plummeted since the pandemic, and token gifts of pandemic supplies are not going to change that.

China has lifted its lockdown. They are starting to produce again. Personal loss and individual tragedies mean nothing to the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China. The CPP knows that in any war some pain is inevitable.
Above all, the guys running things there are practical. Cynically, cruelly, psycopathologically practical. To them, some hundreds of thousands (or even some millions) dying is an acceptable loss, if it means achieving their ends. They have close to 1.5 billion people. A few million more or less mean nothing.
Karl Popper foresaw this in his magnum opus, "Open Society and its Enemies". Liberal values, democratic values, human rights and morals may well be the downfall of western culture as we know it, when confronted to a worldview that sees all these values as weaknesses and shortcomings that must be taken advantage of.
We are seeing this ideological battle play out right now before our eyes. This are historic times, ladies and gentlemen.

First of all, I'm not your "bro".
Second, please stick to the facts. I posit that the virus is part of the economic war China and the US waged. I stated that with the virus, the US economy has been crippled. This is a fact, regardless of all the patriotic thumps in the chest you may do.
Unemployment rate in the US is 14.4%. The highest since 1940 and going up.
The market crash has been the worst since 1987.
The worst GDP reduction in the past 100 years is HERE.
China couldn't care less about what the world thinks of them, they're interested in securing allies, clients and that's what they are doing.
Regarding the possible threats, China has the US in its pocket. The US owes 1.07 trillion dollars to China. That means that, on average, each american citizen owes $4,280 to China. All China has to do is cash in that debt.
I mean, you can stick your head in the sand all you want, but that doesn't change anything. Believe all you want the "alternative facts" that your dear leader is feeding you. Reality at the end is overwhelming.
