With so many people stuck at home right now I've heard many joke about eating all of their "quarantine" snacks and gaining a lot of weight due to
"boredom eating". I wonder how many really are gaining that much weight?
Since this stay at home mess started I personally have lost weight. While I cooked quite a bit before I am cooking even more now. Without the
temptation to just grab a quick bite while being out and about my processed food intake has dwindled down to near zero. I do have to admit though that
when doing our grocery shopping I have stayed away from most processed foods and sweets, opting for more healthy options in an attempt to boost our
immune systems.
My better half is essential so out working every day. Normally he has lunch at dine-in restaurants (of which most are either closed or offering take
out only) so he has been eating a lot of drive-thru fast food to limit contact with others. He hates it! Don't tell him I said so but the hamburgers
and fries are beginning to show (even though he gets plenty of physical activity) and the lack of vitamins as well. He's still a sexy beast
though!
So what I am curious to know is are you packing on pounds as a result of "stay at home" measures or have you actually lost weight due to eating less
take-out and processed foods?
