I read an interesting factoid about bats yesterday.
25 percent of all mammal species are bats.
Second only to rodents, which make up about 50 percent.

As a kid is used to feed little brown bats, by tossing kitty kibble up in the air. They would catch it in the webbing between their feet, and do an aerial backflip to toss it into their mouth.
More fun than feeding pigeons I guess.
