"After a sudden onset of Covid-19 symptoms, John was hospitalized on Thursday (3/26)," the statement read. "He was intubated Saturday evening, and continued to receive care, but his situation is critical."


I grew up listening to Prine. From hilarious "Please Don't Bury Me " to a heartbreaker like " Sam Stone " he is a fantastic singer/songwriter and the world would be a darker place without him in it.

I saw him at the Ryman in 2016 and he was fantastic!
He is such a talented writer! Grew up on his tunes!
