I’ve never heard anything so terrible, ever?

I have this paper the hospital gave my mom when I was born that has all kinds of current events and pop culture stuff on it relevant to the time, and it said Heart “These Dreams”, “Sara” starship, and “Nikita” Elton John are the top songs.

I’ll stick with those. Lol!

The #1 song on Thursday, December 15th 1977 was:
You Light Up My Life by Debby Boone

Well, this is... not that impressive.
Ugh. Really people? Really???
I don't even know who tf that is.
I was hoping for something cool.
Guess I'll just have to settle for just being born

April 18th 1734.

I always liked The Bailiff's Daughter of Islington, but I’m not sure if it exists anywhere these days.

1734...

LMAO.

Conceived to ”All Shook Up”

Born to ”Don’t”

Both by Elvis Presley.

No wonder Mom alway had a “thing” for “The King”!

Think I'm the second one to have a Donna Summers song. Guess she was hot stuff back in the 70's.

Down Under by Men at Work in Jan '83. I actually really like this song and find the video pretty funny. If I ever go to Australia, this is the first song I'm going to play.

I'm thinking you're the bloke that motivated someone to start the 'get off my lawn' meme - so, probably around 1925-30.

Wouldn't matter what proof you offered up otherwise, you're from 1925-30.

That's before Elvis was born, so I can understand why all contributors on ATS are viewed as tools 99.9% of the time.

Thanks for that man. Really, it's just depressing.

"#1 song - Light my Fire - The Doors

If you want to start up a thread about how wrong I am because I hate the Doors then go ahead, just don't do it here. Start one, I'll be there.

Really, that's so wrong for my worldview that I'm going to pretend it didn't happen. Just like UNLV never lost to Duke in 1991. That was in an alternate universe.

I would have preferred Yummy, Yummy, Yummy

ETA: You should check out the song Timothy from The Bouy's and read about it on Songfacts. Trust me, you'll see the connection to what you wrote.
