Door, to door, with riot shields?

Anyway..people need to stay home.

Those aren't 'riot' shields... They're 'virus' shields.

Cool picture. Ain't it?

Who cares if it has nothing to do with reality?

Believe it or not, I questioned it in my head, that it was a actually a real time pic, hence the ? mark.

I doubted that was even a pic relating to the OP..Phage confirmed it.

So people from New York fled the quarantine?

Possibly infecting residents where there fled?

Kinda hard to pick a side. They were asking to quarantine and they fled. This is the response from the local law enforcement not necessarily the federal government. I kinda wish the law enforcement in my community had a stronger stance on people from Denver breaking their quarantine to hide out in the woods.

Meanwhile putting a strain on us full time residents and our already limited resources...

A message to anyone thinking about doing the same anywhere in the country. If you plan on fleeing a hot quarantined zone to your second home. Do us all a favor bring groceries and quarantine yourself. You have to consider yourself infected.

Most of this could have been prevented if people were smart, used common sense.

Instead, it just proves the assertion that our country is populated with very stupid people.

What % of the population do you think is "smart"?

Part of me gets this, these little towns are getting swamped. This one at least has no more new people entering from and area that has shelter in place. Like was mentioned elsewhere these little towns can't handle the increased influx of people, even in good conditions.

I honestly wonder how many people are simply uninformed. Not everyone watches or reads the news to stay informed of what's going on a daily or even weekly basis, preferring to go about their lives in blissful ignorance.

Some people simply do not care until shops start closing and they lose their jobs/are laid off.

Yeah, I posted that in a couple of other threads. Similar to Rhode Island wanting to prevent New Yorkers from going to their summer homes, Blue Ridge, GA is saying that even if you own a cabin there you can't come. I mean, I would rather be in a rural spot during a lock down than a city, any day.

Why you don't understand. The only thing we all had been asked is to stay at home, don't go out.

People not following a simple rule, need stronger method to convince them. Do ya ?

Where does that end?

Oh yea me too love, the north Georgia mountains. This a totally unique situation can definitely see resources getting stretched a little bit if too many people head there at once. Really don't blame people for bugging out and wont blame the county for putting restrictions on it

Ends where and when we stop the spread. It's up to the people.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I can understand restricting visitors, but if you OWN the property or cabin, you should be able to access it without incident.

I'm glad to live in a small town.

The most important thing government are doing here is not the actions of going door-to-door to enforce a brand spanking new policy only born a month or so ago - no, it's to gauge public reaction to what they are doing to see how it will be received when delivered under the guise of benevolent intent to protect your safety and the safety of others (ie: do what we say and you will avoid the virus).

Good find, Phage...truly debunked
.

I think the point to be made here is that regardless of anyone's opinion or like or dislike of the situation, no one has a choice but to sit this out and see how it all unfolds?

We can only speculate as to the 'whys' and 'wherefores' of it all, and that has to be enough. For now, follow official advice and stay home, going out only for essential groceries and toiletries, and maybe a little exercise. Do not be in groups!

I myself, have started to feel like I am coming down with something...I began to feel it yesterday evening. It feels like a dry head cold, and the presence of something at the back of the nasal passages. I also have a mild temperature. No cough. Fortunately, I self-isolated from work on Wednesday due to my lift into work being off all last week with something nobody knows what, but he did have a high fever, which is why I told work I was self-isolating. It may prove to be the correct action.

Well, wasn't Florida getting inundated with New Yorkers? Like 30 to 40 thousand?

What the heck is wrong with them? STAY THE HECK HOME!!!!

At least they are not rappelling throw people windows, guns drawn asking if they got their shot, or give em so they never feel sick or anything again. Also leaving homeowners with the bill of their newly busted windows they worked so hard for.

Could be worse, they could barricade people with welded shut doors, and leave them to starve.

At least folks still have the right to bitch, cause their no mercy in that dojo.

Yeah I don't know if sending police/nat guard door to door is the correct way to go about it. But I will say, I live in a small town in south west Virginia. The nest closest city of Galax, last I checked, has 3 cases. But recently I've noticed a lot of new York, Massachusetts and New Jersey license plates around town. We have a lot of older people in our little community. Needless to say, the locals are not very happy about our new visitors. I feel on one hand they're spreading it around, but on the other they could be like my family, perfectly healthy and trying to get out of the lions den.

Were a 2a sanctuary city, most of us conceal carry and a lot are very protective of their home. You take half crazed people, mix in some sensationalism from the Media add a dash of possibly infected Yankees, and you've got a powder keg with a short fuse. Hopefully everyone stays calm, but I could see it going south really quickly.
