Wth you think its ok to give more power to the military and police to lock us down. Lol that's hilarious. And how long should they hold that power? I mean they could easily say the virus is still here 18 months down the line and say we need to extend the lockdown for another 6-12 months. Government are already asking for more power during the pandemic and you think they should have more authority?

It could very easily cost him the election and he personally and all of his businesses stand to lose a fortune during a lockdown.

Maybe just maybe he actually cares about American lives more then anything else. I know some of his supporters have bailed on him but they clearly only cared about the money..

Americans see that and thats why his numbers are improving. he will lose some support from the guys who only ever cared about $$$ But he is gaining some support from the other side for doing the right thing

Trump didn't shut down the country. Governors and mayors did. Trump restricted some air travel from China January 31, but didn't really start banning travel till weeks later. Trump didn't shut the schools, governors and mayors did.

Trump didn't tank the economy by shutting down non essential businesses, governors and mayors did. Trump didn't tank the stock market, fears of the virus did, fears he tried to brush aside.

Whatever the casee, Trump is sure to win in 2020, especially against Biden. Its actually Democrats who delayed the COVID19 response while being obsessed with their bogus impeachment of Trump. Trump is now doing everything Bernie promised like nationalizing corporations & giving out UBIs & many leftists still hate him, what hypocritical morons.

I agree with you on this but some of our friends will just continue to blame Trump because they don't like him. He can do nothing right, he's an idiot, blah blah blah. They won't accept the truth that he's human and has made some mistakes, but this is a new problem to the entire planet and the information changed daily if not hourly at the beginning. I say "new" because unlike during the Spanish Flu, we have the stock market that runs our world economy (something I have never been in favor of) and the sheer panic devastated a lot of businesses. Some will come back, some won't. But the intellectual dishonesty from the Left blaming Trump for all of this is massive.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. This is anecdotal (except for officials stating that NY must've had "weeks" of the disease circulating to see this level of penetration) but I feel like the virus may have already gone through large swaths of the population. My partner arrived from the UK the first week of February with the exact symptoms of covid-19 before we even really knew what they were. I had milder symptoms, probably spread it to my mother and sister who just got over it. We're in Texas.

I definitely don't feel like this is going to last months longer. I think it burns itself out fairly quickly and with the current social distancing, it won't have much elsewhere to go. I give it another 3-4 weeks max until things are getting back to normal.

Once they get supplies and they learn how to fight this better, it will become a seasonal virus. It won't be newsworthy in two months, the media will chase another demon. Dangle a tornado in front of them and the news will be all focused on that for a while.

I just can't believe that so many Americans can think this is a hoax when over 900 people died in Italy today alone. This isn't going to blow over, for all intensive purposes you've only just began your journey with Corona virus. Here in the UK it's still growing exponentially and we're in lockdown. But I still believe it's the economy that will throw society as we know it out of the window.

But being a conspiracy site, I believe this is economic warfare initiated by China to cripple and destroy the USA. The rest of the world was just collateral damage.

One of two things will happen. Either the breakdown of society and life as we know it, or World War, followed by the former.
