Seriously sick coronavirus patients in New York state’s largest hospital system are being given massive doses of vitamin C — based on promising reports that it’s helped people in hard-hit China, The Post has learned.
Dr. Andrew G. Weber, a pulmonologist and critical-care specialist affiliated with two Northwell Health facilities on Long Island, said his intensive-care patients with the coronavirus immediately receive 1,500 milligrams of intravenous vitamin C.
Identical amounts of the powerful antioxidant are then readministered three or four times a day, he said.
“The patients who received vitamin C did significantly better than those who did not get vitamin C,” he said.
“It helps a tremendous amount, but it is not highlighted because it’s not a sexy drug.”
The vitamin C is administered in addition to such medicines as the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine, the antibiotic azithromycin, various biologics and blood thinners, Weber said.
As of Tuesday, New York hospitals have federal permission to give a cocktail of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin to desperately ill patients on a “compassionate care” basis.
Weber, 34, said vitamin C levels in coronavirus patients drop dramatically when they suffer sepsis, an inflammatory response that occurs when their bodies overreact to the infection.
“It makes all the sense in the world to try and maintain this level of vitamin C,” he said.

I've been taking 1000mg every morning, and have a bolt-load of pure orange juice that my Partner and kids are drinking daily, it all helps (the kids can't drink the supplements and my Partner is refusing so-far),
Could do with some other supplements, but we can make-do with what we have for now as a precautionary,
ETA, best had first-thing on an empty stomach to ensure maximum absorbtion, avoid caffeine for a good while after ingestion, stay hydrated.

Yeah, it's not a miracle cure it a vitamin we should have in our daily diet, not too much though as it can cause digestive problems.

It can't hurt to take vitamin C as a supplement.
So....

So....
so you safely increase the dose via a correct high% delivery process until you saturate the blood stream with VitaminC which then breaks down into oxygen which wipes out bugs and kills them dead.

It seems a roundabout way of raising serum O2. Why not opt for a peroxide/saline aqueous solution?
Not to mention that Oxygen kills more than just bugs.

Supplements are nonsense unless prescribed by a doctor in case of a deficiency.
The best thing you can do for your body is a healthy diet and regular exercise.

I'm wondering why they are only giving it to "seriously sick" patients?
Can a person overdose on too much vitamin C?
Why not give it to everyone who has the virus just to be on the safe side?
You'll also notice that they are giving the anti-malaria drug hydroxychloroquine and the antibiotic azithromycin.
Only in rare cases with people suffering from serious kidney disease. The worst that can happen for the vast majority of people is loose bowels/diarrhea.
