I vote for stay home and wash hands and elbow-cough.

I work in an "essential" retail environment. We don't get paid a lot, but you probably already know that.

the patient that Doctor OZ interviewed

?

Doctor Oz? Isn't he the guy who has, unfortunately, already a negative charlatan sort of image? Like Jim Bakker?

But as Oz’s fame grew, it became clear that healing was, in fact, not his only priority. In 2014, a team of medical researchers released a report proving that 60% of advice given on Dr. Oz’s TV show lacked scientific basis. Soon afterward, 1,300 doctors signed an open letter calling him “a quack and a fake and a charlatan” whose “advice endangers patients.”

Y'know, over the last 3-4 years I've heard people say that Trump could cure cancer and people would still find something wrong with it. I'm actually starting to believe we're seeing something along those lines in real life.

Trump comes out and says this is a good idea to look into, some idiot does something stupid all because some ingredients are similar, and now many people don't wish to speak about this concept anymore all because of that. It's all being tested, seems to be doing decently, so what will happen if this proves to have positive results?? How many of you, if infected, won't take these meds all because of TDS?? Or, excuse me, because someone died from it??

Some of the replies I've seen in this thread are mind-boggling. We have here something worth looking into, yet people don't want anyone to look into it because someone took fish tank meds.

Trump will never cure cancer. He appears to have limited medical knowledge, he doesn't work in the field, he has no science or similar degree. At best, he's a game show host who made some gains investing large sums of inherited money.

Well it’s taken a pandemic, a 35% drop in stock markets, social distancing and a stay at home order to bring the economy back to Obama’s high water mark.

Nonsense.

Firstly, the budgetary issues aren't actually down to the President, but are the responsibility of Congress. It's in the Constitution.

Debt has continued to climb since before Obama. During the Obama administration, the national debt exceeded GDP, but at that stage, it was reigned back in (a bit).

During Trump's administration, however, the national debt once again exceeded GDP and has stayed there for his entire term.

Of course, people feel wealthy when they are splurging on the credit card, but then they start to look at the statements and repayments later and realize the hole they've dug.

The entire US can no longer service the debt that the government sector alone generates. This means big asset sell-offs to try and remain solvent. At some stage, they will run out of stuff, and/or the world will stop buying.

The current crisis has highlighted why governments need to be responsible with money.

Is doctor Oz a reputable MD? Yep sure is despite any reaching
negative monikers he might have acquired to his image thru
global TV fame. Your intent to discredit fails in misery. LOL

You might as well just say all doctors are quacks gold fish brain!

If you're not a doctor (thankfully you aren't since you didn't even read the OP), you should probably keep your political comments to yourself since the OP was about what the doctor had to say, not what channel it appeared on.

A doctor preaching a drug combination with no experimental backing that people have died from in other parts of the world.

was a REAL DOCTOR on a news broadcast sharing his medical findings. Who gives a sh*t what show it is if it's coming from a legit doctor with more than anecdotal evidence of a treatment protocol for something that is wrecking the world?

You should give a ****. People have already died from blindly following the Presidents advice about this same drug. If you actually trust a political talk show to give you accurate medical advice you’re already hovering around disaster. You can’t just believe what a TV show with an agenda tells you about anything, much less something that directly impacts your health.

I happen to be one of the people in the high risk group, so things from my doctor's perspective and mine just went from "you likely will die from this if you get it" to "this treatment will likely keep you from dying". I'm sure others, like myself, could care less what channel or news anchor reported it.

I guess that’s on you. There’s currently people laid up on their deathbed from getting medical advice from politicians. And you’re here trying to encourage people to do the same thing, albeit from a political talk show.

Well the treatment in question is a combination not just that.. so what is your point?

yes but didn't you hear that one time a Dr. touted peach pit as a cancer cure and he was wrong, did you hear me? he was wrong, so instead of being hopeful at potential treatments we should follow the liberal narrative and wish for as many deaths as possible from the chinese virus so it makes trump look bad.

Die corona sufferers, die and make trump look bad.

/end sarcasm
I hope everyone infected recover and effective treatments are soon readily available too all. Except for the silly, i hope the silly drown in the mucus flooding their lungs.

Some people were looking forward to sit'n on ass twice
as much as they already do. They don't want to hear anything
about people might stop die'n. At least til they get a few checks
for sit;n on ass.

More good news:

New York hospitals treating coronavirus patients with vitamin C
“The patients who received vitamin C did significantly better than those who did not get vitamin C.”
“It helps a tremendous amount, but it is not highlighted because it’s not a sexy drug.”

And they are using extremely low doses - 1.5grams, vs the recommended 25 grams minimum, working your way up to 100grams.

This is typical of how the medical establishment 'proves' natural doesn't work. Use synthetic forms. Use extremely low doses. Etc ad nauseum.

The interesting thing here is, even with the extremely low doses - it is working.

This is so true, Aquarium Cleaner and Treatments for fish are not fit for human consumption lol, I bet it even says that on the bottle.

I know many brands of chloroquine phosphate aquarium treatments are impure and can have a wide range of other chemical contaminants. That said I have seen some media reports stating that aquarium cleaner could cure COVID-19. Irresponsible reporting.

I agree, the media isn't helping. I can understand medical professionals giving out their results for people to hear, but it should be left only to those medical professionals.

This outrageous!!!

Any information about success stories like this should be censored.

It is not a good idea for the general population to know there are meds that are helping.

That would be wasting a good crisis, the governor of Nevada got it right, make the people suffer because President Trump mentioned these meds as a good start!

Deny the people, make them suffer, dammit!

FTW

Any politician who takes reduces the medical armoury of doctors really shouldn't be a politician, maybe a bin man or as they in the US a garbage collector, but not a politician.

A politician should not have any influence on medical therapy whatsoever, they are in no way qualified to make such decisions, this should only be done through the country's relevant medical board.

Nevada’s governor on Tuesday banned the use of anti-malaria drugs chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus patients.

Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak’s executive order came after President Trump touted the medication as holding promise for combating the illness.

My point is that there has been NO study to determine the combination's effectiveness on COVID. None. Researchers have been testing the combination for years on SARS, MERS, Flu, etc. and found no compelling positive outcomes. Not saying it MAY not work but it has not been proved to be effective. Anecdotal conjecture is just that. Azithromycin helps fight bacterial secondary infections.

It's irresponsible to say something is proving effective in the field when that's not been proven to be true.

I'll repeat it here, not that long ago there were doctors touting peach pits as a cancer cure.
