Right. Do you ever hear of masses of Lupus patients going blind or having heart attacks? No, because it is a rarely seen side affect, and people with heart problems shouldn't take the drug.

Every drug has side effects. CNN has no problem hyping this "danger", but if someone points out the small chance of side effects from vaccinations, they'd be quick to point out how rare it is. It's complete dissonance.

I have a odd question for you guys. I took a screen shot of this tweet from The White House and I noticed when I posted it, that it said 7:06. It was only like 5:15 or so when I took the shot and Im on EST time. If POTUS is in DC like it appears he is, how did this read 2 hours ahead as the post? When I went back to look at it, the time was then set at 3:06.

Hydroxy Chloroquine, like many pharmaceuticals, does have side effects. I believe Chloroquine is worse though, and many get them mixed up (probably for obvious reasons, eh?).

So.. Yes, they do have side effects. Need to be used judiciously and all that, and under the care of a doctor. They arent some crazy poison like many make out though. Its like some JUST learned that pharmaceutical products can have deleterious effects (not directed at you Rel)

That said, what appears to be the mechanism at work is that as a zinc ionophore, it inhibits RdRPs (RNA dependent RNA polymerases).

That mechanism is shared with *any* zinc ionophore, as long as there is enough Zinc to stop viral replication. More natural ionophores are things like Quercetin, but whether they work strongly enough and deliver enough Zinc to inhibit RdRPs is up for debate. And, given that they are easily accessible without prescription.. I wouldnt expect too much legitimate research.

Drugs like Remdesivir inhibit RdRPs as well, alongside plenty of others.

Any of these things (pharma or natural) can have "side" effects though, from allergic reactions to interactions with existing body chemistry. Just kinda how it works..

If we could get research into the mechanism itself, we might be able to develop some pretty darn clever things though. Of course, all such research is driven by priorities other than health, with health only being tangentially related (imo).

There could even be some natural "super" Zinc ionophore that hasnt been explored or discovered, or something that specifically inhibits RdRPs hiding in the rainforest or something.

Case reports from around the world suggest high levels of efficacy with regards to SARS-CoV-2, but as a mechanism.. It would seem to have some pretty incredible potential beyond just a single virus, or even the family of coronaviruses. ETA: Its actually really cool, exciting stuff!

Note: Not a doctor. Just saw a link between nearly every treatment that has seen some measure of success.

I'm getting a bit of push back when red-pilling friends on HCQ... one pointed out that it has 42 serious side effects?

The most common serious side effect of hydroxychloroquine is increasing the QT interval, especially when used with azithromycin, which also increases the QT interval. Furthermore, a study found that most coronavirus patients exhibited hypokalemia (low potassium), which also increases the QT interval. Increasing the QT interval increases the risk of ventricular arrhythmias, especially Torsades de Pointes.

The good news is that getting more potassium can fix hypokalemia, therefore counteracting the elongation of the QT interval. The therapy should be hydroxychloroquine + zinc orotate + potassium + azithromycin. The top ten high potassium foods in declining order of potassium are beans, potatoes, beets, parsnips, spinach, swiss chard, tomatoes, oranges, bananas, and avocados. Common potassium supplements are potassium citrate and potassium gluconate, potassium citrate seems better overall because it is more absorbable. Using common sense, you can safely get more potassium from food. On the other hand, potassium supplements can lead to hyperkalemia, so those should be taken under the supervision of a naturopath or doctor.

Zinc orotate is the recommended form of zinc, because it is more neutrally charged than other forms, which allows the zinc to easily pass through the cell membrane. Zinc sulfate is ok, but zinc orotate is better, Dutch GP Rob Elens, has successfully treated patients with hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin and zinc orotate.

Reading this post I was taken back to 1982 or so when I was an undergrad in an elective class all my buddies where taking I could take with them called "Introduction to Mass Communications".

The professor was a hippie who told us there was a secret gov and showed us films of how videos could be used to make you think thoughts that you were intended to think by watching it. What a class. We saw JFK assassinated in slo motion, frame by frame. I was red pilled on that day. I learned to open my eyes and look for data everywhere and not just at the major Networks and News agencies. It isn't conspiracy theory I tell my friends. It is conspiracy facts we will talk about and that is an ice breaker.
