Reading through the FISA documents. Here's the lowdown:

Carter Page, who is recruited to the Trump campaign as a foreign policy adviser, is suspected to have secret connections to Russian Intelligence through his dealings with Russian oil and gas...even though he was employed by another US government agency to do exactly that and was approved as an 'operational contact' between 2008 to 2013, and that he'd already told that unnamed agency about his connections and the agency described him as being 'candid' in his revelations about these contacts. So he was already a source for the US government...but the FBI, when applying for their FISA application, wrote that he was 'not a source'.

It's not a secret if you tell people about it.

Glen Stimpson of Fusion GPS is hired by Perkins Cole to try and get dirt on Trump for Clinton's campaign, and he reaches out to Christopher Steele to do an investigation on the Trump campaign.

Steele, who has a vested interest in making sure Trump doesn't win, and is described to the FBI by his own sub-source as being both a "boaster" and an "egoist" who "may engage in some embellishment", uses his existing good standing with the FBI to give them documents that have been prepared by him in June 2016, and this forms the basis of the Crossfire Hurricane task force.

The FBI tries to trick George Papadopulous, another adviser to the Trump campaign, into admitting to collusion that never existed...information that they were given by Steele. Steele also gives the information to the CIA (this is just an educated guess - it's redacted, but it's stated that Steele had given the info to "another government department".

Perkins Cole releases the Steele dossier to the media. The FBI continues to work with Steele because they feel at the time that he didn't know that was what would happen. They even go as far as to suggest in a FISA application that Stimpson/Perkins Cole is actually working with Trump to to discredit Clinton's campaign...when the truth was, it was the other way around!

Perkins Cole instructs Stimpson to tell Steele that he should do an interview because he's being paid to trash Trump's campaign. It's at this point that the FBI ceases contact with Steele as being a reliable source, after telling him in no uncertain terms not to go through with it.

In October, the FBI starts investigating the Clinton campaign (probably realising that Trump will win and trying to cover their tracks). Steele is 'frustrated' by this development because it will hurt the Clinton campaign and his mandate was to trash Trump who he would do anything to ensure didn't win.

The people who were involved in Crossfire Hurricane all get promoted, even though they acted on poor information and made material errors in FISA applications

NOTE: I believe it was called Crossfire Hurricane in reference to the movie Jumpin' Jack Flash, not the song. Mainly because it involves a) breaking into a computer (the DNC server) b) a mole that is meant to be trusted but is really working for Russia c) a lot of double crosses and triple crosses and d) it ends with everyone getting promotions.

It's big news to the Majority of people who haven't been down this rabbit hole. Most people don't know hardly anything about Spygate. To us it's "old news", but this next stage is about bringing it out legally and starting the justice ball rolling to the election. It's a long drawn out process that is going to be presented for maximum impact and that means timing it towards the Summer / late Summer.

The bad thing for us is it will be things we already know, not many new details, but will still be prosecuted.

Even with the Impeachment and Wuhan, things are still on schedule.

in the most serious case,a low-level FBI lawyer altered an email to make it seem as if Page was not a CIA source, when in fact he was — something he confirmed to NBC News in an email Monday.

The low level FBI attorney emailed the CIA to confirm Carter Pages' claim that he was an informant for the CIA and the CIA replied that he was and then the low-level FBI attorney changed/altered the email to say he was not an informant for the CIA.
That is what happened. It was not an unnamed agency, it was the CIA. This story has been so ignored and glossed over it..
