Anyone seen any figures on how much TV advertisers are making right now? I mean the captive audience is massive and worldwide.

Are there really that many people who still watch tv? When I think of tv, I think of landline telephones

All the streaming channels have ads as well. And plenty of folks have cable and watch TV all the time right now.

Compare the color of the white in the flag behind him and you'll see what the problem is. I can guarantee that door behind him in the first picture is white and not beige.

I'm not convinced.

If the white-balance on the camera isn't set correctly, wouldn't this 'imbalance' also tone down the glaring white of his shirt and also the white parts of the flag?

No, because white balance is adjusted based on the distance of the camera to the subject being shot. It's why professional photographers will go around with a light meter measuring readings at the distance the subject is placed at.

Color is based on what wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum are being reflected back to your eye, or in this case, the camera. The closer the subject is to the camera, the more intense the color will be because the wavelength doesn't have as far to travel. That's why the shirt is over exposed - it's TOO white.

Our eyes auto adjust to whatever we are focusing on and our brain makes the necessary calculations to compensate for white balance in real time. A camera is unable to do that, so you have to pick something that you know is true white or true gray and take a shot first at the distance of the subject you are focusing on, so the camera knows what 'white' actually is at that distance - hence why in my DSLR kit I've got one of these:

www.bhphotovideo.com...

Of course, there's a myriad of other factors at play as well like what time of day it was etc. that also mess up color temperature in photos, but I'm quite confident that's exactly what it's about. He didn't dye his hair silver or anything.

IMF and World Bank Announce Unprecedented Debt Cancellation Programme to Address COVID-19 Pandemic

That should tell you who has recently taken control of the World Bank.

How this was done is and will remain a mystery for the time being.

This is a massive BOOOOOOMMM!

And yet, as for so many, we did not see the boom until it went off softly.

That money is owed to the elite.

This is a huge hit on their monetary ill gotten riches.

P

If this is such a major thing, which it sure sounds like, why isn't the TV Media reporting it? Watching CBSN and not a peep about it.

Looks like the IMF and World Bank loan about 12 Billion or so a year. Haven't found a source of total loans out though.

Edit: the IMF looks to have about 850 Billion available as of the Greek Financial Crisis of a few years ago. They had as of 2010, over 100 Billion in Gold Reserves alone.

The World Bank has $3.62 trillion in total assets.

If someone could dbl check these numbers, I'd appreciate it.

Look at this rubbish:

"Because of an executive order issued by the Democratic governor, any new prescriptions for hydroxychloroquine must go through the already overrun hospital system. This makes no sense.

Sources tell me that Cuomo has access to MILLIONS of doses of hydroxychloroquine right now. The federal government has tens of millions of doses and has made millions of doses available to the New York governor."

www.foxnews.com...

This is all about artificially inflating the number of hospitalisations so Cuomo can get more money into the state coffers to pay for the shutdown because he's not going to pull in the tax he needs to balance the books. Remember, patients who are hospitalised with COVID-19 are worth 3 times as much to a hospital than a regular pneumonia patient.

It's so easily transparent it's ridiculous.

There are some people here that do get active in protesting. There are also people here that don’t have the opportunity to go out and protest. You always generalize an entire group based off your own opinions.... it’s getting really old.

You don’t know anyone here personally but apparently you have everyone down to one category.....

I even noticed most active members here have stopped replying to your nonsense.

Good morning ATS. I hope all are safe and well.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow = 17th. 17.4.20. = Q and DT.

17 + 4 + 2 = 23 = PAIN.

Also, anyone else noticed The President's hair is now silver?

He used to be a golden blonde.

Silver = Ag = 17 = Q.

Is Trump telling us he's Q?

Dark To Light.
Trump just shifted characters...no need now for clown makeup to misdirect his adversaries.
Gloves are off.

Kind of reminds me of when Gandalf came back "changed" in Lord of the Rings:

He was handing over to the Authority that ordained the Rules, and giving up personal hope of success. That I should say is what the Authority wished, as a set-off to Saruman. The 'wizards', as such, had failed; or if you like: the crisis had become too grave and needed an enhancement of power. So Gandalf sacrificed himself, was accepted, and enhanced, and returned. 'Yes, that was the name. I was Gandalf.' Of course he remains similar in personality and idiosyncrasy, but both his wisdom and power are much greater. When he speaks he commands attention; the old Gandalf could not have dealt so with Théoden, nor with Saruman.

Liking the new look too.

DeBlasio saying they NEED the Federal Govt and the Federal Govt is the only ones who can help. He is asking for 7.5 Billion in "lost revenue" and it will probably be more. "Washington HAS to step in!".

Funny how nice they are when they are asking for Money or Supplies.

Careful what you wish for Bill......there will be major oversight and strings attached.

What do you know, the President does have the Power?

No problem, and thank you for clarifying lol.

Last time I heard the term 'WAG' it stood for 'Wives And Girlfriends', and was/is usually used to refer to the spouses/partners of famous footballers.

When you said 'as a WAG', I thought for a second that you might be the wife or gf of some famous footballer lol.

Too bad for her ice cream though, Trump just threatened to recall both houses of Congress. I bet she'll violate the Constitution by refusing to go back to work.

Trump claimed he can order them into recess. He probably can't really do that, but it is well-established that the president can order Congress into session if he deems it necessary.

He did start out the presser by stating that he might be using his Constitutional Power to call both houses back into session if needed. I wonder how Pelosi and her iced cream will handle that? Also why isn't she weathering this out in her district?

Is that what he said? I thought he was saying he was going to use his constitutional authority to force both houses to adjourn so that he can make recess appointments.

I guess they're in a state of "quasi-session?" I don't know. But forcing the Congress to close down would satisfy the requirement of them being able to be arrested. So long as they're in session they have immunity.

He sounded EXTREMELY upset with Congress today.

They're called "pro-forma sessions." Trump might be trying to force a situation where SCOTUS needs to rule on whether they're constitutional. I would say no, because they're transparently an attempt to block the president from using his authority to make recess appointments, and as such the practice of pro-forma sessions should be held to a standard of strict scrutiny.

From: law.cornell.edu

Section 3.
He shall from time to time give to the Congress information of the state of the union, and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in case of disagreement between them, with respect to the time of adjournment, he may adjourn them to such time as he shall think proper; he shall receive ambassadors and other public ministers; he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed, and shall commission all the officers of the United States.

So yep as stated;
"he may, on extraordinary occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in case of disagreement between them, with respect to the time of adjournment, he may adjourn them to such time as he shall think proper"

It's in the US Constitution.

Supreme Court Ruled 9 to Zero, preventing President Obama from doing that.

He would need the Senate to officially adjourn to attempt it even.
