Well I hope so! But let's not forget that these new powers aren't just about loans and repayments. It opens up a wide range of Constitutional crushing initiatives.

I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

I forget how many times is it that trump has destroyed the republic .. after three years it's hard to tell.

Thanks to the panic, the cratering markets that act was pretty much the only move left to try and curb the panic, and as mentioned not the first time.

Now if they don't start filtering things back after things are stabilized then is the time to get mad not right now.

Don't let the fear of a pandemic (pretty much my second worst nightmare) lead you down a bigger rabbit hole of fear.

Eta: we will get through this, and I'f your worst fears are realized the American people still have an edge over the fed and we can water the tree of liberty once more.

That’s not socialism. Socialism would be when the means of production is owned and controlled by the people.

The government has completely skipped socialism and went straight to communism.

Yes, the FED is providing funds for the government to buy stocks (stakes),while providing its self funds to buy bonds(corporate debt).

Are either of those two roles a Constitutional function of the either one?

No, but it is now.

I’m just worried that it will never get stabilized. That after the pandemic subsides there will be another reason not to hand over control. Then another. Then another. Until it’s normalized.

I don’t trust the government to give back power they take from us.

I was rightly corrected on page one, I believe the proper term is Comrade.

I wish the government would take over the hospitals and start socialized medicine here. Trouble is, the Hospitals are profiting by this, it will make them way more a part of the control of this country. Unless, maybe the government wants to make a deal with the medical industry to incite fear in the flock.

This was not a takeover and ownership of the economy you dummy, this is an order for the mobilization of production for the national defense. This means war, just good ol fashioned war. I mean after all, the first time this went into effect, we were fighting the Korean war. The most recent year where it was used by both a Democrat and Republican POTUS, 9/11 happened. We are about to get a nasty 9/11 follow up.

Well I didn't say it would be easy to swallow.

I'm honestly surprised it was so easy to change everything.

It was incremental but quite fast.

We don't have a Republic anymore - the courts are closing or closed so that power check is gone and so Congress and the executive can do what ever they want.

These "Representatives" the people elected are bought and paid for by powerful lobby's the minute they win a seat.

I really truly believe they are criminal for ignoring basic Constitutional principles.
