I don't comment much here but that was an excellent Ron Paul video, thanks for posting!

I used to respect Ron Paul but if he actually think this is Hoax then he lost his mind. That or he doesn't know the definition of hoax.

Ask yourself: why did we send a whole generation to die fighting in the Vietnam war?

Was perhaps..... to preserve our way of life?

And how many people died in that? Young people? With their whole lives ahead of them? Lives many of them never got to live?

And now we're going to throw that away to avoid putting a much smaller number of people over 80 in the line of fire? Most of whom have indeed had the opportunity to live full and long lives.

Sad situation the world is in.

I think what caught me and my coworkers off guard was, the officials -- both State and Federal -- saying one thing, for the people not to panic, remain calm and take precautions.

Yet their actions spoke the opposite -- canceling events, canceling conventions, canceling sports (their choice, but following the actions of others) and once they mentioned closing schools, I believe THAT is what set in the panic buying and freaked many people out.

I remember a friend telling me that the stores were empty and I was like - what, no way, why????

Sure enough, when I got off work I stopped by Wally World and I was like WTH?

People were buying up everything as if a hurricane were coming through.



The only closures that made sense to us, at first, were the nursing homes being as the elderly were most vulnerable.
(My husband is in one due to dementia, so even tho I miss seeing him, I'm glad he's safe away from all this)




Now I spoke with my sister who lives in Olympia, WA and she is under the belief that there is about to be mass deaths across the U.S. and how there will be body bags piled everywhere and she cannot believe that people are not taking it more seriously.

Where as my other sister and I are cautious and doing our part to stay away from town except to go to store.
(I was laid off due to store closure but my sister works in hospital) Yet we are not in that kind of panic mode imagining the worse, due to we do not have all the facts yet.


And often times, things like imagining the "worse case scenario" only leads to more anxiety. Yes it is good to be prepared and take precautions. But at the same time, don't go to the other extreme of panicking and thinking the worse, causing more stress and fear when it has not yet proven to be factual.


So maybe it's how each state and their local news/State officials perceives the information coming to them as to how the people act.



Although the hoarding and buying up really needs to stop and stores need to crack down on that. *big sigh*



For those of us who are use to prepping for hurricanes (I live along the Gulf Coast), at least we still have power and water. LOL

I know it is easy to perpetuate a hoax on the regular people but how are they doing it to all the major corporations that are losing 100s of billions of dollars when they shutdown over this?
Every professional sport, casinos across the country, the Big 3 auto companies, the airlines, churches....everything is shutdown.
Are they in on it with government bailout money guaranteed to them?

it appears to me that the panic is more contagious than the virus.

THe major news outlets are reporting Rand Paul (Ron's son) has tested positive for Covid-19. Now that's a sad irony, I hope he does well and recovers.

He is a doctor, but as I mentioned before, just because he is a doctor doesn't mean all of what he says about the virus is right. That's true for any field of expertise. You can get 5 people who are experts in a certain field and have at least some who have a different opinion on the subject that others.

In this case, there are people who are also doctors who are contradicting Ron Paul; if Paul and a group of doctors say one thing, there is another group who says something else. Both groups might be made up of medical doctors, but one of those groups is wrong.

So just being a medical doctor is not enough to have your opinion on a medical issue automatically be correct.

The most well-intentioned and capable medical doctors can get be wrong. That's why people go for 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th opinions when they get a life-changing diagnosis.

EDIT TO ADD:
Here's an esteemed epidemiologist (a doctor who specializes with diseases and disease control) who, contrary to what Ron Paul says, thinks that Coronavirus is a major event that we can't be too careful with. So Ron Paul is a doctor and this guy is a doctor. One of these doctors is wrong.

I don’t think Ron Paul denied the virus existed. The hoax he is referring to is all the hysteria built up around it. If Rand has a complete recovery I don’t see how that contradicts anything his father said.

I love Ron Paul, I think he’s wrong here and maybe underestimating the devastation this virus is capable of, but I don’t see this positive test for Rand changing his opinion any.

The hoax doesn't have to do with the veracity of the virus or its deadliness, but as mentioned above, with the hysteria, the intentional panic and fear psychosis that the governments have caused, while shutting down businesses and bringing their whole nations to a full stop. A complete *intentional* out-of-proportion and overblown reaction with who knows what devilish ends, after all it's said and done.

It's seems like the TPTB can send/activate this virus remotely on certain persons in addition to other groups of people through usual contagion. Say that a certain person is not aligned with the mainstream engineered belief regarding this virus, then the next moment he/she is sick with the same virus he/she is trying to deny. Same thing in Rand Paul's case, his well-known father is proven wrong and denigrated, and his brave son gets sick. With one stone kill two birds and add some dark irony into the mix. See how diabolically that works?!

Jesus people the guy was an OBGYN NOT an epidemiologist. Do you go to a podiatrist for a heart attack? NO.

So aside from a guy that would add earmarks to bills and then vote NO, and the fact that unless I have a question about fundus height or what the color the lochia is, his opinion on Epidemiology has as much relevance as ANYBODIES in this thread.

Wonder what Dr No has to say about his son? Still a hoax..........
