How exactly is coming out of quarantine supposed to work?

This question is really tormenting my mind. Will the virus magically disappear? Why exactly 14 days? Won't people get reinfected again as soon as they step out of their homes? Will this crap start over and over until everyone is dead?

The information overload is killing my senses.

You really don't need to worry. It will not help.

Do research and find information. There is a lot here. Look at the virus update threads.

All you can do is inform yourself so you can make educated choices.

And be as ready as you can without going overboard.

You have to stop it before it gets out. Once it gets out we're all getting it for better or worse.

You do it in stages. Tell your mom first, then she can tell dad in her own time:

"your father's from an older generation. They don't understand what it's like for young people like you nowadays... Your father was taught that a man is supposed to stifle his feelings...."

Which begs another question: how are these people eating? They are almost 2 months in lockdown (welded into their apartments) and when you see Wuhan's live feed, it's a ghost town. Heck, it's 11 million people to feed, and I reckon they didn't stock food beforehand.

If you look on YouTube there are a few vloggers in Wuhan. The quarantine started to lift about a week ago.

The internet there is pretty controlled, so... who knows really.

No worries. As soon as you have governmental approval you can get out. Please do not use a VPN or any other tool to obscure your Internet activities to expedite your approval.
