I know and I got the point about sitting in the dark during a perfect storm black swan event, even with the preps, thanks.

But I had to laugh, your example was hilarious to me, esp when you used your Beofeng survival 2-way radio to tune into Coast to Coast AM when they are talking gloom and doom about the CORVID19 pandemic.

How long before you might have considered bugging out? I would have had my BOB waiting by the door at that point.

May I just say ...nothing is really unusual...in an unusual situation. We see all kinda of stuff we miss ordinarily

It was a pretty surreal experience, a few weeks ago i wouldve thought zero of it, but after the last few days of hype it really added to the doom effect nicely.

Things were really quiet, and everybody here seemed pretty calm, if the outage continued into today i might be thinking run for the hills to my deep underground survival shelter, but everything is back to normal now.

Except of course for the slow creeping death virus. We still have that going for us. Which is nice.

I've got a rule of three for survival preps. Bug out on foot with 3 days of survival supplies. Bug out by car or bug in with 3 weeks of supplies. When the situation becomes urgent or if things get a lot worse in 3 weeks, consider bugging out. Always be ready to bug out in 3 hours or less.

...im about out of beer...

Good gravy Man! Hold tight and don't panic. The National Guard is on the way with resupplies. This should have been the lead of the story. Power outage, schmower outage.

I too live just outside Toledo. No power loss here, thank goodness.

Hang in there, this will all be over soon enough.
