Are you really asking how defending my family and home from would -be intruders is different than "hunting" someone?

Are you feverish?

Well, learn how to find fresh springs. Learn how to fish. Learn how to hunt. Learn how to farm. Learn how to build a fire. Learn how to set up a snare. Learn how to build a shelter. Suddenly Walmart can go to hell.

I'm not at all like the stereotype you're accusing me of. I'm a totally non-violent person.
I just happened to be aware of how things can get very ugly very quickly in certain situations.
If you want to maintain your high ideals, remain civilized, and hope those around you are going to do the same, then you will be one of the first to go.

I live in a similarly rural area, I went to wally world for a birthday gift for my step sisters baby. Absolute madness..
there's no reason to buy 20 packs of tp and all the water your vehicle can hold. All the canned food, rice, sugar and flour were gone. All and all, a complete mad house. I think we're going to find at the end of all this that a lot of us have already been exposed to this. flu study

Skip the fighting over the food and go to the seed section. It’s almost spring so start growing your own food.

I'm trying to be polite, but you clearly have comprehension problems. Let me see if I can explain again.

This event is minor. Still, people are scrambling to get what they can. When the stores run out where will they get their Pepsi and Doritos? From you. From me. From people who have when they have not. Will they steal? Sure. Will the rob? Probably. Will they murder and rape? Thousands of years of history tells us that they most likely will.

I'm not saying hunt or be the aggressor against anyone. I'm saying it's prudent to be able to defend one's self and one's family, and this event highlights just how close we are as a civilization to this becoming a reality.

You are trying to twist my words because you don't have a valid argument against what I actually said. Either it's intentional, which is dishonest.. Or it's because you have comprehension problems. In either case it's annoying. Even though you annoy me I wouldn't punch or shoot you though - that would come only after you committed an act of violence against me or any other innocent person. Capiche?

No, that is not what he is saying.

He is saying that when the SHTF for real and people realize the don't have any food or other necessities, the thin veneer that keeps people lawful wears off and you see how bad people really can be. People you thought were your neighbors, friends, etc won't think twice about robbing you or worse when it is their family that is starving, not yours.

You don't want to be unarmed when the masses decide they are willing to do whatever to get a bite to eat.

So shooting fellow Americans then, how is what you said any different, someone robs you to feed their children/wife/husband, you shoot them to maintain your wife/children/husband

Happy hunting my American Friends

Exactly

Someone comes to Rob you. They are willing to kill you if you try to prevent the robbery.

A cuck would allow themselves to be robbed and their family to starve. Or worse.

A decent person would stop the robbery.

Like the song says,I can skin a buck and run a trotline.Ivr got lots of ammo for my modern guns.If that ran out I can make black powder and I build my own guns.I can catch fish, grow a garden, know edible plants and how to make jerky or smoke meats.Thing is though,if a real killer disease like a airborne Ebola, say, comes along it's going to just depend on luck and location. The folk in the Aaska bush probably are in the safest place in a real killer pandemic

That's it -- and you seem unable to grasp it. The prepared will be looted by the unprepared. The people who spent their time and money wisely will be victims to those who didn't. If someone stormed your house because you prepared; what would you do in defense? Talk to them nicely and make them see the error of their ways?

Split what you got? Then split it again, and again until you have nothing and everyone dies? No; you hunker down and protect yourself. I fail to see how this is the wrong answer.

It's not "shooting fellow Americans" it's "self defense."

The preacher man says it's the end of time
And the Mississippi River, she's a-goin' dry
The interest is up and the stock market's down
And you only get mugged if you go downtown

I live back in the woods you see
My woman and the kids and the dogs and me
I got a shotgun a rifle and a four-wheel drive
And a country boy can survive

Country folks can survive
I can plow a field all day long
I can catch catfish from dusk till dawn (Yeah)
We make our own whiskey and our own smoke too
Ain't too many things these old boys can't do
We grow good ole tomatoes and homemade wine
And a country boy can survive

Country folks can survive

Because you can't stomp us out and you can't make us run
'Cause we're them old boys raised on shotguns
We say grace, and we say ma'am
If you ain't into that, we don't give a damn

We came from the West Virginia coal mines
And the Rocky Mountains, and the western skies
And we can skin a buck, we can run a trout line
And a country boy can survive

Country folks can survive

I had a good friend in New York City
He never called me by my name, just Hillbilly
My grandpa taught me how to live off the land
And his taught him to be a businessman

He used to send me pictures of the Broadway nights
And I'd send him some homemade wine
But he was killed by a man with a switchblade knife
For forty-three dollars my friend lost his life

I'd love to spit some Beech-Nut in that dude's eyes
And shoot him with my old forty-five
'Cause a country boy can survive

Country folks can survive

'Cause you can't stomp us out and you can't make us run
'Cause we're them old boys raised on shotguns
We say grace, and we say ma'am
If you ain't into that, we don't give a damn
We're from north California and south Alabam'
And little towns all around this land
And we can skin a buck, we can run a troutline
And a country boy can survive
Country folks can survive

A country boy can survive

Country folks can survive

"Barbarism is the natural state of mankind. Civilization is unnatural. It is a whim of circumstance. And barbarism must always ultimately triumph."ROBERT E. HOWARD

Gettin hairy here in the Houston area for sure, on the surface things are ...busy. The stores are full of frenetic shoppers..started yesterday...well I noticed it yesterday anyway, before they cancelled the rodeo and the President announced the ban on European flights it was quite normal.. good thing I made sure my shelves were full before the sheeple began acting like, err...sheeple

Robert E. Howard. Now there is a man of culture. lol

I agree with his sentiments though. The coddled among us don't want to accept the natural order of things, and want to believe we are some elightened race of beings who are above it all.

We aren't.

Yep if you didn't have the foundation already you are pretty well boned. When this is all said and done I suspect the Ant-and-Grasshopper story will become very common as a bedtime story again for young children. As a society we have done a great disservice by insisting our future generations live a soft life with all of the luxuries and none of the foundational skills that our forefathers had which allowed them to weather the trying times that defined their lives.
